Diving

Why the heck does NBC continue to show so much coverage of diving....maybe I'm in the minority but I find this one of the most boring sports to watch.

The judging is literally impossible for any random Joe to comprehend or see in real time...the outcomes are already determined (the robot Chinese will win every event and there is nothing you can do about it), yet night in and night out NBC focuses and hour of coverage on this crap

WHY?? I just don't see the appeal here....

It was popular when Greg Louganis was dominating for the USA. The people running NBC don't realize that was a lifetime ago for their viewers.

Judging by my wife's family (who are all in town), the lady folk loves them some diving. PFM's debut was relegated to the basement so they could watch Chinese divers killin it.

I hope you farted in their general direction.

If they would show some more Stephen Feck, I'd be OK with diving. My son and I watched the BMX last night, it was awesome, wipeouts galore.

This is it entirely,

NBC wants the women watching. Thus you get all the "artistic" crap sports in overdose quantities. Gymnastics, syncronized swimming, diving, and anything else that involves lots of dancing, prancing, and guys in speedos.

They do the same thing with the winter games acting like the who Olympics is just an excuse to hold an ice dancing competition.
