US vs Japan (**SPOILERS**)

Alex Morgan is so good at putting her hand on balls...that the refs don't blow their whistle, instead they blow something else

Hotness prevails over clear penalty kick

:smile2:

USA defense has been trash this entire tournament. Only thing keeping them in games is their athleticism to make up for mistakes... and a lot of luck.

Better team lost today. USA had no composure and was basically awful to watch.

What goes around, comes around ... see Frankfurt last summer.
true true, soccer does have a strange way of getting karmic balance. However, that USA team would have stomped this one into the ground. Form was much much better, except for Alex Morgan just coming into her own.

OK, so I saw the high lights. How the hell was that not a handball on us? Was that a makeup call for the men vs Germany a few years ago?

I would wonder what percentage of soccer games don't end with the losing team having at least one thing to whine about that they claim would have changed the game. These include handballs, yellow or red cards that were or weren't called, offsides that were or weren't called.

It seems that you have a game that rarely has a difference of more than one goal until the end of the game when the losing team sometimes gives up another goal being overly agressive trying to get the tie.
