WAC dropping football after this season

I guess we know why Idaho said they were going independent in football a few days ago.

Also, there might be a decent player or two from these schools that can transfer immediately since they are dropping football. We got DJ Hackett the same way about 10 years ago when Cal State Northridge dropped it's football program.

None of the schools are dropping football.

Might be a good time to get Idaho to come to Folsom for a one-off.

This will be an interesting study in the importance of football in a college institution.

I hope they get a feasibility study done, first. Would hate to make a jump like that without that kind of information.

No problem, hire a coach who brings two national championships with him and a rich guy who has never been an AD before and quicker than you can say derp, you have a full 42,000 seat stadium and an invitation to the Big XII.

They should build on campus stadiums and join the Pac-16....

Not so fast. After the stadium is built there would most likely be offers from the Big 10 and Big 12 too, so they'd have their choice of which major conference to join. Plus, they wouldn't even have to come close to filling this new stadium.
