Hoping for an Entertaining RMS

Sorry to start a new thread for this, but as one of the resident CSU fans I wanted to wish your team the best of luck and health in tomorrow's RMS. Although attendance sounds like it is going to be pathetic again on the CSU side this year, I will be there and am looking forward to the game. I am also really holding out hope that this ends up being an entertaining contest which marks the start of something positive for both programs going forward and gives this series a shot of life it desperately needs. Either way, I will be hear to gloat or eat my crow come tomorrow.

You are always a stand up guy, here is to an injury free, penalty free game....

Entertaining as in a CU 30 point blowout? That kind of "entertaining?"

Right on, CSquared.

Hoping to see well-coached teams play with class and an injury-free affair.

My preference is to see a CU domination that clears all the CSU fans out by halftime because I want to kill this series and interest for next year. Personally, the way this thing has developed between the fans (especially young fans) has made it un-fun for me and made it impossible for me to root for a CSU program that I'd otherwise wish well upon just like I do for AFA, WYO, DU and UNC. Frankly, I'd like to see us play once every 4 years and have CU schedule AFA, WYO and UNM the same way.

right back at you Csquared! Here's hoping both teams put forth their best effort and everyone walks away unscathed.

With you on the injury free side of things but I have to agree with most others on this board. I want to see a drubbing that makes the interest in this series die. Die by Fire.

i can't wish your team well. ... too many droolin' arseclown fans... i can, however, acknowledge that you've represented yourself and your school 1000000x better than every other sheep fan to come through the door here.

i hope for an injury-free game and about 40+ point win for CU. with that done, i can go back to mildly wishing moderate success for your team the rest of the way.

Thanks C Squared. You are excepted from my disdain of CSU fans that has been growing over the summer.

If CSU ever downgrades to FCS 2-AA, I am holding out hope that CsquaredCC would not walk away from college football in disgust.

In my book, he'd be a welcome addition to the BnG fanbase.

in the period of 89 to about 96, i knew scores of csu alums who were RABID CU football fans. totally diehard. bumperstickers, tickets, away games, the whole works. their support slipped when CU slipped and this artificial "rivalry" with the sheep started to be promoted.

maul them a few times, dial back the series, and begin to emerge from these dark days and you'll see lots of sheep jump back on the bandwagon and proclaim that they have been lifelong Buff fans.

that's the difference between a school in the bigs and an after-thought.

In many ways this would be best for both schools. CSU fans wouldn't have to feel bad about getting behind CU for bigtime college football. CSU would have the resources to be a highly competitive at FCS, win a lot of games, and get the fan base excited. Games would be fun enough that CU fans might pick them up as a local favorite situation.

Yeah - like the 2001 Nebraska game. That was entertaining and no one got hurt (physically). Let's hope for that kind of "entertainment".

in the interest of sportsmanship and fair dealing, allow me to retort:

die, lamb, die.

CU 52
sheep 17

of course, i say this every year and i'm usually disappointed, now going on a lot of years.
