Paramount (Calif.) OT Chris Borrayo just got an offer from the Colorado Buffaloes...Coach Mike Tuiasosopo called and gave us the news .. ...

As a junior, Borrayo earned first-team all-CIF, first-team all-area, first-team all-league and he was selected to the prestigious Long Beach Telegram's Dream Team.

His school is off the radar for college recruiters, so this might be a case where Tui's LA connections will help.

Nice offer list for a guy that none of the recruiting services seem all that aware of.

For kids who might have NFL dreams Colorado is going to make a lot of sense. EBs offense is going to let them develop the skills in both the running and passing game that the NFL wants and that the spread offenses don't use.

Love to have a couple of big nasty guards who can lead a power inside running game against the lighter faster defenses that teams are going to to battle the spreads.

sounds like a typical teenage male.

And smart to do if you can get away with it. Play the system for what it is worth. Take your trips and see who else might step up and offer.

As soon as you start to lean some programs will pay less attention to you and others who might have looked at you don't bother. If you really are leaning or narrowing it down then you can use that to start to filter the pressure or to see if someone who might have been waiting is going to jump in but for right now can't fault a kid leaving it open.

Are we actively recruiting this guy or does he only have a spot if we miss out on a few other guys?

"California, Washington and Arizona State are the schools that are really standing out. I have to talk things over with my family and my coaches, but those are places that I will probably take an official visit to," he said.

The Sun Devils, along with the Golden Bears and the Buffaloes, are the three programs recruiting him the hardest.

@RGBearTerritory: Chris Borrayo just told me that instead of waiting until tomorrow, he told Zach Yenser he's committing to #Cal tonight.
