Suckramento State - TV?

Ok. So for those of us not able to make it to Boulder, does anyone have any idea if this game will be televised? And if so, where?

PAC 12 network, not that anyone can get it.

I'm seeing southern utah vs. cal on my pac 12 bay area feed.

So I guess this means that unless the buffs are playing cal or stanford I will be unable to watch ANY of their games. Wow. That sucks.

No, I remember seeing that there´ll be very few cases where one specific game will be exclusive to one of the regionals. It´s a bit unfortunate the Cal/CU/WSU games are all at the same time on P12N next Saturday.

Says pac12N on the cubuffs.com site...does that stand for Pac12 national??

EDIT - it means Pac-12 Network

Our games vs. Oregon and USC are likely to be picked up by FX or ESPN, so you'll be fine if you're into watching snuff films. :afraid:

If you have Comcast here in SF, we should be able to get all 6 regional networks available online starting tomorrow:

http://forums.comcast.com/t5/XfinityTV-Website/Pac-12-Network-Online/m-p/1395327#M14003

So basically, stick with the regular / bay area feed, and then go online when there are scheduling conflicts that result in cal / stanford being shown...

Comcast stream for the mountain P12 network:

http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/pac12networkmountain

looks decent, but not great. Better than the crappy SD channel on the sports + entertainment pack (though that won't help for this game anyway since it's not national).

Football conflicts should go away for the conference season. Might be a couple of basketball conflicts come OOC play in December, but it looks like again during conference season there will be no conflicts.

If Scott and the Pac12 Network think that millions of fans are going to switch to Comcast from DTV then they need to rethink that one. And the exclusive rights that the P12N has for that upcoming Cal-USC game aren't looking so hot after Cal's opening loss to Nevada.

No doubt, as Scott envisions, millions of Pac-12 fans will follow suit and change providers.

But DirecTV has the mother of all of trump cards, known as the NFL Sunday Ticket. The satellite company can hold out for a more attractive deal with the Pac-12, believing that NFL fans aren't going to trade its network for 35 college games from a conference that features a bunch of programs trying to chase down USC and Oregon.

DirecTV simply didn't hear the uproar created when football fans weren't able to see Utah and Arizona State slaughter horrible Big Sky teams on opening night. To an extent, DirecTV is correct in thinking it will provide enough Pac-12 games through the more established channels it already offers.

If I am a comcast customer, do I get that live feed if I pay for the sports tier that the Pac-12 Network is on?

where at? vipbox or justin?

Thanks!!!

I was just being nice.... i went to CU before we had e-mails... unless someone comes to my house and does it, I wouldnt even know how to turn that stuff on.

Seriously... I am getting it via live streaming.... so how would I be able to get it to you?

My brother was able to watch a Tottenham soccer game through someone elses living room by using some software...

yeah not sure. I'm guessing someone will have the feed on vipbox.tv on Sat. Well hopefully.

Anyone who receives the P12 Network on comcast has access to the streaming. For those out of market, that means you need the sports pack, but then would get streaming. For in-market, one would get the streaming w/o the sports pack IF you get the p12 network in your base cable package. There are some very basic cable packages that don't have p12, so for those people, they would need to upgrade their cable package.

I saw somewhere that the cable contract requires comcast to put the p12 network in the starter package for the only the cities/markets local to the schools.... elsewhere in the six states comcast only has to offer it in the 'preferred package' (they are allowed to put it on starter in other areas, but the cable companies don't necessarily want to do that since they pay by the subscriber, so it's not as likely). CU's home market is Denver only (I believe that's defined by who gets the local Denver broadcast channels... so Boulder is most definitely included and probably Ft Collins/Greeley too). Colorado Springs/Pueblo is defined as a different market, so Comcast put P12 net on Preferred not Starter there.

Anyway, P12 network streaming is not quite HD quality (great looking on still shots, all little choppy when things move), but for those out of market, I'd think it's worth it to do the sports pack just to get the network (could even just do it the months of sept- feb and then turn it off). Redzone and College Goal Line are included I believe, so there is some good content in addition to P12 Network.

The one thing I haven't seen talked about is whether people in state, but not in the denver market can do the sports pack to get P12 Network instead of doing the full Preferred Package upgrade (which has mostly different non-sports programming anyway).

I'm kind of ticked off because it looks like the P12 national feed will be the Cal game, and P12 Oregon (where I live) will also be the Cal game. Hopefully this is a mistake in the listing and it changes.

It is not a mistake... Cal is the national game and the CU game is only available in the Mountain Footprint and Live Streaming.

I tried my live streaming last night and it worked. Fairly decent quality as well.

As long as I get every CU football game and basketball game via live streaming, I am ok with what Larry Scott has done.

Everybody is on full freakout mode because the Pac 12 Network didn't work perfectly and in every household from day one. It will be just fine very soon.

Even Texas is having distribution problems with their Longhorn Network.

It will come.... you are correct.... This season will just be the growing pains. And we kinda suck, so this is the season to have growing pains for the Pac-12 network....
