Daniels made a name for himself with a good junior season (over 500 yards receiving and 7 TDs), but his performance this weekend at the Army underclassmen combine is likely going to lead to a lot of attention for him. He was a standout and could play on either side of the football at the next level. Cal could be considered an early leader.

Looks like he is his team, looks like a HS kid playing with a bunch of middle schoolers.

I like the size and the speed, blows by people without looking like he is trying, a glider. Catches the ball with his hands. Also tough, might actually be a prospect at LB if he puts on some weight, likes to hit and has good quickness.

Very early in the recruiting cycle but would be a nice early commit for the Buffs.

That play at 2:26 or so, not bad. His competition looks pretty meh, but this kid is just what we need at WR.

good god is he that fast or just playing in the "slow white kid league"? Also Embo is talking about guys who love football, I think this is one of those guys.

Just watched his film. That is crazy. He looks like a head taller than everyone on the field AND almost always looks to be faster than everyone the field too. I agree w/ MtnBuff. This kid can play. Want!

[h=1]Freedom High WR Darrell Daniels looking to feel at home[/h]
From CalSportsDigest.com

At 6’3, 210 pounds Freedom High School WR Darrell Daniels has the size and speed colleges are looking for at outside receiver — including Michigan as they slowly transition to a pro style set.

When people look at Daniels, “First off they’ll see someone who’s a team player and then they’ll see a beast with speed,” he, laughing, to GoBlueWolverine.

USC is looking for a quick commit before they move on. If he commits, look for other WRs to start to commit soon.

The ole USC offer usually locks up kids on the west coast pretty quick, although occasionally some of them decide to be stragglers (Kevon Seymour last year comes to mind).

Off the top of my head, some of the kids USC has offered that we should care about:

Justin Davis
Darrell Daniels
Nico Falah
Joe Mathis
Eddie Vanderdoes
Max Redfield
Chans Cox
Johnny Johnson
