Christian Powell

So surprised to see him lined up at tailback! It was awesome, in a ****** game-losing sorta way, but he was a bright spot.

If there were going to be anything good about today (there isn't), it's that several guys from this recruiting class are looking like playmakers....

Should've been the starter from snap one. Great kid, great athlete and I wish him the best with his time here as a Buff.

Funny that a guy recruited as a fullback can be what appears to be a real nice talent.
As for the RBs this staff has picked up...meh.

I feel bad for him. Ran his ass off. Set freshman records. All to be embarrassed by being a Buff.

I am very happy to have him as a dynamic FB and he has a very bright future as a Buff. Try those 30 carries as an HB against Oregon or USC and we will be lucky to get half that yardage. CP is not our answer at HB. The real problem is with our OLine, that CP masked today.

I think Powell showed today that he can be an effective piece of the puzzle in the running game. He is as tough as advertised and is one of the bright spots. We still need someone (anyone) to step up and help him.

There's no team leadership. We sat right above the bench, and no one is firing people up. CUD did for about 15 seconds, and so did #71 for about 10 seconds. No emotion, no leadership. We'll never win without someone taking the bit in their teeth, regardless of coaching.

Why didn't you get your sorry ass on the field and fire these boys up?
