Embree: "What's killing us right now is details. We have to be better detail oriented as coaches and as players"

He also says he wants to try and get the running game going.

When BAMA HCNS preaches "the Process", it reminds me of Hawkins preaching about little things.

Typical coach rhetoric, but certainly worrisome when coming from a CU coach.

I am expecting major improvement in the run/pass blocking department as the weeks progress or this thing will spiral out of control even faster than it has already.

I am growing as tired of the "get the running game going" as I was with the "cinch a few things up" and "get their horns out" or the "love em up" .... running the football is fundamental 101 at the park in pee wee football... man on man or hat on hat and dominate your opponent

Concerning, but I'll be really pissed once he starts claiming I can't comment on the state of affairs at CU if I don't have kids.

he should probably get the blocking game going first.

LOL...Recent tweet from the Pac 12 as a teaser on their tape show:

USC receiver Robert Woods is a dominant player because he masters the small things, says @YogiRoth. Tuesday Tape Room:

you guys need to shut up. How long have you been coaches at the division 1 level?

it is just more coach-speak. nothing to go postal about. the proof is in the w/l record. go postal over losing to 2 of the worst teams in college football to start the year. whatever embree says at this point is going to bring a hailstorm of criticism.

just wait until usc and oregon get ahold of this team. the only things that *might* avoid a 70 point beatdown are (a) pac12 coaches are smart and they won't want to beat CU so badly that CU might actually bring in a staff that they cannot beat at will by whatever score they name and (b) i suspect our frosh might be somewhat improved by the time we play these teams so the arse kicking might not be as significant.

Yes, but HOW little? If we get beat to **** by Fresno, he'll just say that they didn't go small enough. This is a potential never ending pattern that will never stop. Eventually, we'll be hearing that the players' shoelaces are to flexible which has had a trickle down effect to cause everything.
