Kizla's throw down on Bohn.

Actually no.... His article is factually incorrect and shows he has no ability to do any research. Bohn did not hire Embree. Therefore, anything that this dooshbag writes after making that assumption is a waste of time.

just a slash and burn article. and Kiz missed the real reason that Bohn hired Embree.....in doing so, after the Hawkins disaster, he put his job insecurity squarely in the Coach Mac boosterism camp. pretty shrewd move really. took the heat right off him for a while....until we lose to CSU and Sac St at home.

it's a little late for an intrepid journalist to start noting that maybe Embo was unqualified or that EB or Brown had no experience into season 2. we talked about that here since Day 1 of the coaching "search"...many were heady with a return to the Mac days thing...but, we all knew it was an issue.

not a lot here imo. typical kiz, find an easy punching bag and have a go. the guy is not Hemingway or Faulkner.

there are more elaborate and pressing criticisms of Bohn imo. this is mostly water is wet type stuff. thanks Mark.

I do agree that Embree needs time. I think if he can make it to year 4 he will have this program back to a .500 type ball club and a bowl caliber team. I thought the schedule gave us a shot at a bowl game this year but we blew it. I think by year 4 we will see how his recruits and offensive philosophy play out.

By then we should know if he can judge QB talent (Dillon & Sefo), develop his type of OL players, and continue to recruit well when the program isn't impressing on a national stage. It would be nice if Bieniemy could hit a HR at RB for them and get them a 4 star guy who can come in and play.

The only thing you need to toake away from that article is that the admin. is preparing to put MB on the ice floe if a sacrificial goat becomes a necessity. A piece like that doesn't come out of a vacuum. Although Jizsla is as close to a vacuum as you might find.....

Regardless, --- It's not good press for MB

Ok with that piece but you should throw the whole admin under the same bus. Bohn didn't mess this up by himself.

Definitely.

Where's mention of Bohn trying to sack D2 and D2's end around above Bohn to keep his job another year?? It's still feasible that had D2 been gone after '09, Embree & Co still could have been hired, however, we wouldn't have had to suffer that lame duck year of 2010 and would or could be much farther ahead of where we are currently.

I think the ultimate sin that Bohn committed was giving D2 a contract extension, and I think that was primarily his call. To me, that was a pretty damn big sin.

i forward the motion we just start banning people who read jizla's crap and/or post about it.

i yeild the remainder of my time to the junta.

Actually Bohn did hire Embree. What Bohn lost control of was the hiring process but Benson and Dr. Phil both told Bohn and the Press that Bohn had the final say.... This leads to the real problem with Bohn - he has no vision, no leadership, and no ideas. The plans that are being tossed around for facilities are still the same ones that Tharp had done back in the late 90s. Bohn let Hawkins stay on another year because he is weak and moves in whatever direction he thinks the political winds are blowing with no long term strategy. Bohn gives out sound bites and says "Go Buffs" he has never stepped up with a plan to improve Colorado Athletics. He is a car salesman but unfortunately he has the job as AD. He can sell the idea of the moment but cannot sell a long range concept because he cannot get his head around it. That is why he fails with tying up the big money.

I haven't read any of this limp wristed ****sticks bull**** in the last 9 years, and I'm damned if I'm going to start now.

What pissed me off was the part where he said if McClwain or Calhoun had been coaching, CU would be 2-0. Not that it isn't true, but that it is Kiszla's MO to pat csu and AF on the back and bash CU pretty much every chance he gets.

hell, i was groaning about hiring McElwan a week ago and the guy LOST to North Dakota State last week...how you can you even say THAT kiz? straight up jacking.
