Don't insult my intelligence

If you are saying Embree needs more time, you need to get your head examined. Rebuilding is fine and good, and the bumps in the road that come along with it. This is not rebuilding, this is a smoking crater where a fusion bomb just went off. Colorado is getting run out of the building by teams that they should either be comfortably beating (Sac State, CSU) or at least playing even with (FSU). Opposing teams have exploited the obvious weaknesses on our team, and our coaches are absolutely overwhelmed with being able to adjust.

Cut the cord with Bohn and Embree this year.

I kind of agree, though I've been quiet to this point on the Coaching Staff.

Do we think that McElwain was handed a significantly better situation than Coach Embree? The Fresno State Coach?

I realize what happened during the Hawkins era, but we were still kind of recruiting D1 talent.

To lose, in the manner that we have, to these three teams? There is no justifying it. There really isn't.

I hope you are joking. Your statement would insult a squirrel's intelligence. Not even close. Colorado has been mediocre for the last 6 years. Colorado was still beating CSU and Iowa State, KSU. Hell they even topped Nebraska and OU. This is so far from mediocre, it is stunning. This season is orders of magnitude worse. If you can't see that, please go get your head checked.

I hope you're joking. Every week I see people post about how we've 'finally hit rock bottom' or 'this is the worst yet'. Wrong, this has been going on for 5 years, with maybe a few bright spots sprinkled in.

We've sucked for sure. We were the definition of mediocre with an average of 4 wins per season. Dropping from 7-8 wins per year to 4 per year was a drop. This is a drop from 4 to 0. Pretty much a whole new level.

We only won 2 games in 2006. Yes, going 0 - 12 is a new low, but at this point we're at the bottom, and we've been there for years.

I am going to eat my tickets for the rest of the season so my seats will be empty.

I think my decision will be weather dependent. Nice afternoon, I will come out to Sackygate. Cold, wet, snowy, windy - no thanks.

Another indicator of the absolute new level of ground zero we are experiencing:

1. Lost to first year HC at CSU.
2. Gave up 35 points in the first quarter.
3. 94 yard touchdown run allowed.
4. 516 yards allowed in total offense in a half.

The significance? Prior to this season, none of these has EVER happened to Colorado. EVER!! Under Embree, we are literally shattering the 125 years of history at an unbelievable rate. Not even Hawkins was capable of these feats.

At least under Hawkins, I could go into halftime feeling like the buffs still had a chance. Even in 2006, with only 2 wins, most of the games were close. Tonight though, that was a whole new level of bad. We looked like a high school team or some ****, and it was like this most of last year too. The fact that we are even worse this year is a testament to how ****ing bad things are- I could have sworn last year was the low, but most of it doesn't even come close to the type of ass beating we received tonight.

I agree with BuffedUp. This isn't a normal rebuilding thing here. Something is very wrong behind the scenes. This team is playing like a team would for a dead coach walking -- things you see in the last four games of a season when the beatdowns have led to the unofficial firings or "resigning at end of season" scenarios.

I love Embree and love that he's a Buff through and through. But we absolutely have to stop this soon - it's a TKO. Plain and simple.

We can talk about rebuilding all we want to and about how these things take time...which they do, but what we have seen does not reflect what a college football team is supposed to look like. Obviously we do not have the talent to beat a USC or an Oregon. But we damn sure have more talent than CSU or Sacramento St. And we damn sure have enough talent not to get humiliated in record setting fashion against Fresno St. I have no doubt that Jon Embree bleeds black and gold and that there is nothing in the world he wants more than to lead CU back to where we all want to be...but the fact remains he isn't the guy.

We know that now, and rather than wasting another few years we should do something about that. The talent on the field is nowhere near as bad as they have been playing. The team is a national laughingstock. This is not acceptable and it pisses me off. Embree. Must. Go.

When coaches start setting records for other teams like Embree is doing, this never works out. The longer he stays, the deeper the hole. That's what happens - not miracle comebacks.

He's even setting opponent conference records, too. This is NOT good, folks.

Although I hate the cliche "out of the box," Bohn and admin need to do some serious thinking and come up with something innovative right now to stop the bleeding. There has to be a good coach out there who would be willing to come in right now with a few guys temporarily out of football, and try to make a change. Maybe someone like Fulmer. Wait for the Bye week, do the deed, and give a new coaching staff two weeks to get started.

This has nothing to do with rebuilding a program. But everything to do with a staff that cant coach, plain and simple. CU hired a TE coach and Running backs coach to rebuild and lead CU into the new area. This staff is more over their heads then the Hawkins staff was. They have no idea how to game plan and make game adjustments.
