Player Leadership

Did you see the news conference with injured Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson? He spoke up, called out his teammates for giving up and showed the passion and leadership of a winner that I don't see on our team.

I am not calling out the players, but I am a little curious if there are any leaders on this team. I haven't seen anyone get in any other players face, or try to rally the troops, or get pissed off. I don't watch the press conferences for the buffs, so I may have missed something, but I want to see some emotion other than sad or confused.

Do we have any real leaders?

David Bakhtiari took on that role in the locker room after the game. Check the newsroom.

Well on the broadcast in the first half it was mentioned that Webb and Wood were not talking to each other or any of their teammates on the sidelines. That's probably not the kind of leadership you want from your quarterbacks.

I'm not sure if he's the guy if he isn't "a guy who normally talks" and this is the first time he's spoken up.

I've been in leadership roles at many points in my life. Most of them have been successful runs. I'm not one that usually speaks, you'd be surprised what us "quiet ones" can do in leadership roles. I wouldn't write him off just because he doesn't speak much. If he leads by example and shows quiet confidence then he will be a successful leader.

I agree, we definitely need someone to step up and take the role. Whoever that may be.

I know what you mean, but the Oline is arguably the buffs greatest weakness and they were repeatedly pushed around by CSU and sac st. NOW is when he speaks up?

I agree, its a little late but sometimes you gotta get punched in the mouth a few times before you realize you don't like it and stand up. Again, I'm not trying to call out the players just speaking in generalizations. I'm 100% Buffs still. I will always root for them through thick or thin.

Do yall agree with his premise the coaches are putting them in positions to win, it's just that this team doesn't care??
