If we go 0-12 but don't fire the coaching staff

I'm renouncing Buffs football. I won't follow it. I won't talk about it. It will be dead to me.

CU Basketball and Olympic Sports are all I'll have any interest in discussing.

(Frankly, 1-11 or 2-10 with retention could do that too.)

I'm in the same place. Join the Big East and play hoops. So we have nice kayak spots right? Let's go Kayak! I sincerely will miss Buff football. RIP. It's been years.

On the bright side, you'll have a hell of a lot of free time on your hands.

Unfortunately, unless you are a donor who has pledged some serious money - I doubt they really care.

Everyone on AB could be a donor even if we are not currently. If the Administration would make a bold move and hire a real HC this time I would contribute and I bet a lot of us would, to improved facilities, etc. Even if every ABer offered $10-$100/yr we could actually accumulate collective clout.

Good for you. That'll show 'em! :smile2:

Oh my gawd! This is beyond ridiculous. Yeah, everyone of you thinks I'm an idiot. OK, fine. I'm sticking this thing out. Quitters can never return.

Not the point. If it plays out like I fear, there's no point in caring any more because it will mean that CU doesn't.
Well, good then, Nik. Because it is going to play out like you fear. It is. And now you've "promised" to, what? Go away? Listen, I hate this and really respect your passion, but "going away" isn't the answer, my friend. Sorry. I'm just really, really pissy right now.

yep. Im the bad guy. Quitting isn't the answer. I want changes. But I'm renewing my season tickets next year, no matter what. But, yeah, I'm the bad guy.

You're neither the good guy nor the bad guy, so don't go portraying yourself as the victim just yet.

What is the answer, DBT?

You're basically telling people they should stay in an abusive relationship after our spouse has refused to get counseling and has refused to alter behavior in any way. There may be some great memories of better days and some love left, but you still need to get out and move on with life.

*I realize the above is overly dramatic and I don't want anyone to get the impression that I'm belittling spousal abuse. It was to illustrate the concept, not draw a parallel.

If there is no enjoyment in cu football then don't go. Geez it isn't rocket surgery. Life is short, do the things you love.

This leads right into the next debate, which is, would you rather win a game or two to avoid historic ****tiness, or go winless to force the admin's hand?

I am ashamed to say I lean towards the latter. What good are one or two fleeting wins if we have to sign up for this same product next year?

What did life promise you people? A walk in the park? Did life tell you everything will come up roses? I'm just not quitting. Sorry. Yeah, CU may never get back to anything before I die. But, at least, I will have stayed the course. I still love all the kids and will love watching them go beyond football to become men who make a difference. That's what it is about, for me.

At least you're honest in saying winning is not that important.

It's one thing to be loyal to our program through bad times when visible efforts are made to fix the situation

It's another thing to be loyal to our program with an administration that could care less, and in some twisted way even enjoys our utter irrelevance and ineptitude.

I don't see how I could possibly waste my time on the Buffs anymore if we go 0-12 and no changes are made (and no, firing Marshall doesn't count as a change).

The latter. It's devastating that it has come to this, but we are at this level. It's brutal.

Distephano loves you.
