Byu vs Boise

Any of you guys catch that bull****? Byu, down 7-0, scores with about 3 minutes left so youd think tie game. Well, umm, their coach went for ****ing 2. Boise gets the ball, runs out the clock and wins 7-6. What a ****ing dumbass.

Especially when his defense hadn't allowed Boise to do a thing the entire game. The 7 points were scored on a BSU defensive touchdown.

And he has a QB who is dominating the defense running the ball inside. Instead of doing what moved them down the field for the TD he calls a deep roll out. Boise gets some pressure on him and he throws a pass that had no chance of being completed.

I can't blame a coach for going for a win, especially if he doesn't trust his kicker enough to take a chance on OT but if you go for it call a play that takes advantage of what you have already seen work.

Embree and EB were probably taking notes.

Expect to see this on Saturday.

Id at least get to OT first. U wanna go for it then, Id have no issue with it. There were 3 plus minutes and Boise hadnt done ****.

I didn't understand the move then because BYU had been more than matching if not dominating Boise's O play. Taking it to OT would give just as many chances to win. Maybe BYU was so worn down and tired that the coach knew he only had once change.

And that IS what he decided. Enjoy!

Neither offense was moving the football with any consistency. Apparently, and I don't follow BYU enough to know, they have some serious issues with placekicking. Their concern was going into OT and with neither team scoring a TD having Boise win on a chip shot field goal that their kicker would miss.

If that is the case I have no problem going for the win, just with calling a play that makes no sense based on the talent available to them. The QB was killing Boise running inside. Instead they ran a slow developing play with the QB rolling deep giving Boise a chance to get at him and forcing a pass that he hadn't been making all game.

Boise has a ****** kicker too, I dont know about Byu's, never saw him. Against Utah he was crap but we are talking about an extra point, not a 40 yarder from the hash. Boise's kicker missed a 36 yarder, somewhere around there, it barely had the distance. He wasnt making a chip shot. The fatigue reason is plausible I suppose.

Poor Rammies are going to find that out tomorrow.

I can't imagine how sad it would be if the only game the sheep win all year was against us. Sad, and very possible, although New Mexico makes us look like a powerhouse so CSU should win that one in spite of themselves.

Pretty sure they're talking about a concern of the kicker making an FG in OT, not the kicker making the extra point.

Didn't NM beat Sac Stayed pretty good? If so, then we might be the only team CSU beats.

No, that was NMState. New Mexico beat a bad FCS school Souther U. to open the season 66-21, they have since lost to Texas 0-45 and Texas Tech 14-49. They play NM State this weekend so the Sac State comparison my be made.

They play the last game of the season at CSU by which time CSU may have total checked out like they have done in past seasons.

I think UNM beat CSU last year, didn't they?
