Are there any CU targets at Valor or Fountain Fort Carson?? this is going to be a great game Friday night here in the centennial state

My opinion is that Valor is full if mercenaries who have no in-state loyalty and will go wherever they get the best offer.

I may be checking out the Castle View- Palmer HS game tonight. Any recruits you would like me to report back on?

Maybe you mean that Valor kids have a unique definition of "best offer"? Because I'd expect anyone to do that. The hard part for them is defining what's best, and for us is realizing that we're not the best fit for everyone we want.

 just like Mullen and Regis is as well....I find this so funny how everyone is of this opinion because a good football player is attending a private school

PS....isn't it pure human nature and/or the smart thing to do to take the best offer received? If you were looking for work and had 2 offers, 1 for $50K and another for $100K, who in their right mind would choose the lesser offer??

Nope, Mullen has a history of sending kids to CU.

Yeah. Like Ryan Clement...

oh, wait...

In all seriousness, Mullen has a history of sending a few kids to CU, but it's nowhere near the pipeline it should be, given it's proximity to the University and the guy they've had coaching there the last 10 years.

In hindsight, I don't have a problem with Logan not pushing kids to Hawkins.

what about Fountain Fort Carson?? this is a strong program, great history and the track program there rocks... besides, not a bunch of self entitled spoiled rich kids. These kids have seen the other side.

The staff recruits Valor. I'm not sure that the coach there is a fan of CU, though. I know there was a relationship to Boise State.

It's not the extreme amount you stated but I left University of Phoenix to come to CU at $10k less per year. I make less but I don't feel dirty when I go home now.

Which only proves that monetary considerations are not the only ones rolled into "best."

Valor Christian is okay. Would like 1 or 2 of their players at CU, but if it doesn't work out. Good luck to the players.

Watching a little bit of this game, not much longer since it is 24-0 in the 3rd quarter.

Del Rio's kid looks like a good QB, good decision making fairly quick release, good decision making. That said I am much happier to have Sefu.

Valor has a lot more speed than FFC. Not seeing a lot of guys who I would get excited about if we were to recruit them though.

Valor looks like they have a lot of good kids. That makes them similar to Mullen in past years though in that because they have so much supporting talent the stars look better than they probably are. I think a lot of kids recruited out of Valor are going to dissapoint at the college level when everybody is good.

you nailed it...and you can tell this team is not being watched by CHSA - there is lots of practices going on the other (public) schools do not get the opportunity to do...

Christian McCaffrey
this kid is fast and slippery, but at the div 1 level might not even see the field. He might be a Jeremy Bloom type kid at best. Amazing what $ can do in building programs. Arrogance exudes from this school.

I would be stoked to have an electric player in the return game and catching balls on "O" like Jeremy Bloom. One thing you'll see from the best teams is that they have a ton of team speed. Football skills you can develop. Speed and quickness are innate talents. They are talents that you can never have too much of on any college football team.

Disagree on this one. Christian is going to be a good D1 player and has a decent offer list for a junior

McCaffrey is probably a low 4 star/high 3 star type player, going to actually have to show some progress to have a chance with him though.

This summer they practiced no joke six days a week, a lot of it consisted of practice with no pads in the afternoon and weights in the morning. But they were "voluntary"

They are new and produce on average 2-3 solid prospects every year.

So far we only ever offered
Brock Berglund
Carzell Vickers
Alex Kozan
Christian McCaffrey

2011: I think we all agree that we dodged a bullet with Berglund, Don't think Vickers qualified and don't know where he is now he was a freak though.
2012: We only offered Kozan and that wasn't happening, Would've liked to see us get their LB that went to Boise though.
2013: We haven't offered anyone the only guy they got that I see as a possibility is Del Rio. But agree rather have Sefo although Del Rio is pretty damn good.
2014: CMac is the only one we offered in 2014. Would love to get this kid he will be a playmaker at the next level but he is Stanford all the way. I think he is a mid 4 star.

So Valor looks to be replacing Mullen as the CO school churning out the most bcs prospects.

Mullen hasn't had a top 10 prep in the last two classes and Valor now has 3 of the top 10 in this class (McCaffrey, Holland, Roth) and the DB Marcus Wilson looks like a bcs prospect.

MacIntyre needs to make Valor a priority if he wants to succeed at in-state recruiting during his tenure
