There has been a lot of opinions put forth on this staff - I thought I would throw this poll out there to gauge where the fan base is on this topic.

Need to win 2 more games or they should be gone. At least then we could point to improvement in the conference in year 2 (3-6) vs (2-7) last year.

Last week's win was a nice step considering the fight they showed and the fact it was on the road. However, it's one game. It doesn't erase the 3 utterly unacceptable humiliations in the previous 3 weeks.

I need to see us scrap the rest of the year, find at least one more win and not routinely give up like we did against FSU.

As bad as we are, we can only look for progress.

Brown is a joke...he's got to go. I see no progress at all. And Marshall needs to go too.

I've noticed EB is making adjustments to get something to work, and it seems to be paying off. Powell is in, Webb in the shotgun, more TEs. He needs to get Thomas the ball more though. And Nembot started  Wanted to see that since the CSU loss.

Our special teams are adequate to good and getting better. Need more speed or better technique with the return guys, but kicking is great.

Embree did a great job changing the heart of these kids...along with the "magic video" I've read about.

Overall...with a win it is easier to be patient...with everyone but Brown...IMO...

Grade: C-, but it's the middle of the semester with 9 more tests coming up.

Brown, EB, and Marshall need to be swapped out for legit coordinators

Last week was a good start and proof that not all is lost... Yet. I need to see improvement. It is acceptable to blame early season struggles on youth and inexperience. There will be some rough weeks ahead, but I'd like to see us at least beat Utah at home and have a shot against UofA and ASU.

If recruiting drops off in the slightest, then I want the staff gone. Parsons and Liufau are high priority. As well as landing Palma and Loud.

Recruiting? Drop off? Hello? Yeah - we have some commits, but the recruiting hasn't gone nearly as well as we all expected, and it isn't close to what we did last year

I voted for the 1st option. I think they underestimated the situation this year and things took a quick downward spiral. That being said - CU is rebuilding and I believe more time is needed before you can judge this staff. I am not calling for anyone's head. I like this staff.

Staff can recruit. Not convinced they can scheme. Let's revisit this issue after this weekend.

I'd like to see the rest of the year play out. The Washington State win - while certainly not against one of the league powerhouses - was a nice win. The passion that was shown at the end of the game was something special and I think something that CU can really build on. The question now is, will they build on it?

If the year ends and CU is 1-11, then I hope that some changes are made. Even if Embree does get to stick around - I'd like to see some fresh blood on the coaching staff.

But if they can win 3 or 4 games on the remaining schedule, that will show me some progress and I will look forward to a better year in 2013.

I realize that. Like you, I'm skeptical of this class already. I just can't stand to see us lose the top recruits from it. If that happens, I'm done.

I give them some room. The recruiting has been pretty good IMO. CU was nowhere on the national map but the staff has landed some pretty solid recruits especially given to where CU had fallen.

Last year I think there were some rough spots, but I pretty much took heart with the AZ and UT games. It looked like a corner was turned. Given another spring and fall camp, I expected to see an imprved team that had some favorable matchups over the first four weeks of the season. Dropping the first three was a real disappointment. Three very poor showings are, I am afraid, indicative of where the team is really at. Last week's win was huge. Not because it was particularly stellar, but at least is shows they aren't going to tank completely. There is hope.

Beating out WSU to stay out of the P12 cellar, while exciting and a fun game to watch, is still a one point come from behind team featuring it's back-up cum starter QB with one start under his belt. Positives, come from behind wins on the road are great, but it isn't like they knocked off USC.

So far I am not sold on the staff, but I hope they are a wild success.

I am not a recruitnik but they have not proved this yet by any stretch of the imagination.

I think that last years class was solid and this years class is looking good assuming we keep the verbals we have and round it out with more quality players. At least that's how I see it.

I keep going back to the CSU and Sac State games as an indicator that this staff is in way over it's head. I don't think they're cut out for coaching at this level. There are certain games that reveal whether you can get the job done or not. For Hawk, it was CSU in 2009. For Embree, it was Sac State (and CSU to a lesser extent) in 2012. This staff might pull out a few wins here or there, but they don't have the ability to turn CU into a consistent winner, IMO.

I constantly see this from so many people and am dumbfounded where this prognosis or assumption is coming from....who they recruited in the early 2000's is irrelevant people!!

I'm talking Powell, Crawley, Mosley, Wright, Solis, TX WR trio, Dillon, Nembot, Parker. All solid players recruited in the last two years. All legit D-1 players.

Some of those players have yet to even play. This staff's defensive recruiting has blown the offensive recruiting out of the water. Especially at the skill positions

Agreed. EB - our star recruiting, has been mostly useless. Very disappointed that we haven't been able to find a star at RB

It is not who they recruit in the past it is the demonstrated ability to recruit. CU had lost their recruiting connection in California and Texas - this staff is working to rebuild those pipelines. I really liked last years class so I believe they have demonstrated they can still recruit. Some fans seem to think that CU is just going to go out and land a bunch of 4 stars recruits and go up against USC and UCLA for guys that are in their own backyard. Not going to happen for a few years. CU has to rebuild - it is what it is!

Guys, this years class is bad. Period. Really don't see how that's even debatable. This is on par with some of Hawk's worst classes.

Dillion redshirted, and the TX trio have not played. All other have and most start.

After the Fresno game, I thought they should be gone at the end of the season. The WSU game nudged me off that stance just enough to think that if the coaches & team shows progress & improvement the rest of the season, that I'd be okay with Embree getting another year -- not sure on all the ACs though.

There are so many issues with CU football (crappy admin, Hawkins disaster, impact from the "scandal", sub-par facilities, lacking big $$$ donors, ...), it's tough to pin all the blame on Embree, but unfortunately, that's how the game is played, and the first 3 games of this season did not make me a believer that he's the guy to pull CU football out of the tailspin.

Last year's class was solid. But what makes you think this year's class is looking good?

Based mostly on the QB out of Washington and assuming we keep the TE out of Chapparal. Still early, in the DH days we would have 1 verbal at this point.

Powell is no slouch. But what makes a star, his Rivals ranking or on filed performance. Jury still out re the latter.
