CU is gonna win this game.

Sweet. I will sleep well tonight based upon your ****ing feelings.

Every bit of logic, every bit of comparing talent, etc. says UCLA should win easily.

How often over the years have we seen UCLA lay an egg when everyone expected them to win. UCLA has a long history of giving away games. No guarantees but don't be surprised if UCLA needs the Heimlick after this game is over.

Eff Ucla. Don't be a bunch of p*ssies.
I'm w/ Liver on this one. Don't get me wrong-odds are not in our favour by any means, but...

1.) We actually are coming off a very emotional win
2.) I think our team found a bit of an identity last week
3.) We clearly have more confidence as a group
4.) We are playing at home
5.) They are coming off an "upset" and are either going to be hungry or a bit down

I give us a great chance of beating the spread and a 1 in 5 chance of an upset. And yes, I found some more Kool-Aid.

Flukes is right that UCLA is extremely inconsistent and has been like this for years. They can win a big game and then turn around and have a complete dud the next week. That's just who they are, seemingly regardless of who's in charge. I think we have a good shot of beating the spread, in which UCLA is currently favored by 19. Crossing my fingers that the Buffs figured something out at Wazzu + momentum from a solid crowd leads to heading into halftime with a close game. UCLA is consistently a total mystery, even to those who follow them extremely closely, in terms of what they will bring on a week to week basis.

With Palma in attendance, this is not the week to have one of those games where we don't get a first down until our 5th possession, while meanwhile on defense...

Identity last week? We played a total of 15 good minutes that game and won because The Pirate made some horrible calls and their players made some horrible plays. If any identity, it is "lucky".

true, I don't think this in itself helps us. Momentum, I guess.
2.) I think our team found a bit of an identity last week
Not true, because it was a come from behind victory where we pulled out some big plays. "Showed character" would be a better way to put it. And in place of this I'd rather say our offensive callers found some plays that work, like the quick slant, and the defense didn't miss gaps or give up the big pass play near the end, either. Keep those up and perhaps we'll find our identity.
3.) We clearly have more confidence as a group.
Momentum. What about when we need to deal with adversity again? Will we keep fighting? (This is where we can turn to a moral victory, bleh...)
4.) We are playing at home
true

This is the biggest wild card. We have sucked big time after let downs for years and years. Last week was the first sign of change since the Utah game. If UCLA has the same loser attitude that plagued the buffs for a while this could set us up really well. If they decide to forget the letdown and play their best game, we could be in trouble.

I get this distinct feeling...

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

"This situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid genture to be done on sombody's part..."

We're just the guys to do it!"

Good post. But UCLA does not have "the same loser attitude that plagued the buffs for awhile". Their coach has them playing up and looking to win. The team believes with all their hearts they can win every game they play. He looks to be the right coach for UCLA. Watch out for this team.

Funny post... Not like ucla beat anybody that's worth a damn

I like the attitude! We gotta shot.... :gun: Avoid the early onslaught! Gotta think UCLA is gonna try and roll em down hill early after watching Fresno tape. If we hang around the Buffs will become increasingly confident per last weeks effort.

Didnt we play ucla after our big win against az last year and we had momentum etc?

No idea why anyone thinks it's acceptable for a fusker to predict a CU loss on the CU board. **** you ****smoker.
