A native of Colorado, Gentry said he's had a lot of contact with CU coaches.
"It's a really nice school," he said. "I want to take a visit up there, but from what I've seen I like the staff."

Anyone have a scouting report from seeing him play? He has said he wants to play WR in college, but the services are mostly projecting him as a Safety. I'd expect him to camp at CU this summer.

Whispers about Gentry at the burrito stand:

- impressive vertical of 34"
- 10 interceptions last season
- mitts for hands

Just a really good athlete who makes plays.

He's got measurables and some decent speed. Why not? We need big, lengthy players in the secondary or middle who can also play in coverage if we want to start to turn things around in the PAC12.

Air Force offer would indicate that academics aren't likely a problem. Wonder why a kid with these measurables is under the radar with only the offers he has.

Anybody here actually seen him play?

With the limited number of schollies this year we can't afford to miss. Be interesting to see how he progresses this season.

Wyoming. Nice pickup for them.

Over the years when Wyoming has been good they have had a lot of Colorado kids on their roster. I like to see Colorado kids do well there. Good luck to him there.

Just watched him make some huge plays in a win against Mullen. I'm hoping the Buffs take a shot to steal him. Great size, speed and can play safety.

I was reading that he is basically unstoppable and having a spectacular senior season. Wyo is having about as bad of a season as we are (in year 3 or 4 of Christenson?), so maybe we jump into the fray here

I'd like to see that happen. He really impressed me against Mullen. Bobo seems like a good prospect. Not sold on Dunston at all. Gentry is a play maker and we sure need those bad!

Through 5 games: 28 receptions, 612 yards and 7 TD's. He also has 2 rushing TD's.

And he can play defense! I think we bring him in as an ATH and see where he best fits. I don't care about numbers. I'll take him over Lisella all damn day long.

Him and John Lisella play different positions, so I do not know how you can compare the two. If you are disappointed Lisella isn't playing TE or something to that extent, keep in mind he plays at Columbine. There are very little "flashy" stats that show how good an offensive or even defensive lineman really is. You just have to watch they play. Also, John plays mostly both ways. Had two sacks in the state championship game and is a solid defensive player.

Gentry is having a huge season for Wyoming. Would have loved to see him on our roster.

Gentry is working out at the Broncos local pro day coming up. One of the under-the-radar, local kids to watch in the draft, but probably goes UDFA... PFF says he had the most deep targets of any WR in the country in 2016. 1,300+ yards and 14 TDs last year... Pretty solid.

A guy I played HS ball, Kyle Howard, went UDFA out of Wyoming and was with the 9ers' for awhile. Good luck to Gentry.
