When will the Ticket Office Call?

Abs hooked me up with a good contact for season tix and I threw our deposit down. Guy said we would hear from him the next week regarding seating options in our preferred section. It has been a month and no word. Ticket office says next week, but c'mon. Another example of ineptitude by the AD. #FedUp

They are still processing all of the straight renewals (I am trying to upgrade).

I called to ask myself yesterday.

I have been waiting for the call as well to add 2 more men's season tickets. I called earlier this week and they said that the process had begun for upgrades, additions and changes. Based upon the priority point listing about 1/3 of the ticket holders/donors are ahead of me. I am hoping to get the call next week. I also plan to add women's tickets but was told that I will need to do that separately.

I've been meaning to add womens tickets, those are about the cheapest priority points you can get.

um, well, how can I say this....ok I'll just say it. like, um, the ticket office is just not that into you. it's not your fault.

Ticket Office has cared less about the fans for years and years. Why should it change now?

FYI, I think I was literally the last "new" ticket buyer who got called back (definitely in the last 10). I got my call on October 24th last year. I still had my tickets in hand prior to game 1.

I think part of the problem is that according to the staff directory, they don't currently have anyone in charge of the ticket office from a day-to-day perspective...the position of "Director of Ticket Operations" is listed as "TBA"...additionally, if all they have is 4 full-time employees, as the staff directory suggests, that seems to me like they are understaffed as well...

It would have been all fine and good if the ticket office said they would get back to me in a month (or two, even). My only issue is the ticket office telling me one week, and then taking six times longer. Regardless, we don't need them by a certain date since the only games we'll use are in January (we're donating the rest back to the AD, so don't ask please). The original rant was unnecessary in retrospect, but - I think like many of you - my overall patience for the AD is declining.

its funny... i had this same conversation with them last year...

From a conversation I had with someone at CU, I know that they're working on fixing the ticket office. They're realizing what a mess it is, and they're doing what they can. I just think they're discovering that it's a lot bigger mess than they expected. I know it doesn't help for this year, but I think things will be a lot smoother next season.

:yeahthat:

A few years back when the WBB team made the WNIT unexpectedly and kept winning, they had nobody in the ticket office to sell tickets to the next game. You had to buy them for one of the games at King Soopers or the night of the game. Lots of unhappy people who did not get their seats. I got close enough to mine and overheard the people sitting in them say how great they were and they were going to get them if the team won. I informed her nicely who would be sitting in those seats for the next game. :saythat:

They are gonna be crazy busy when they start calling people.

next year will be the first year they are staffed enough and wel run enough to make outbound calls, how insane is that?

Got this email from the AD today. Looks like they are going to use the event to try and sell some empty season tickets.

Dear Buffs Fan,
We want to thank you again for your deposit for Colorado Men’s Basketball Season Tickets and let you know where we are in securing your seats for the upcoming season.
We are proceeding through the existing Season Ticket Holder upgrade requests along with the requests from fans like yourself that have placed a deposit. This process takes several weeks to complete, and we are well on our way. We are processing in Priority Point order first.
Once we have completed the requests for current Season Ticket Holders and Donors with Priority Point totals greater than zero, we will process the deposit requests based upon date of receipt.
Please be assured that we will have seats available for you and we are protecting your place in line by holding seats. This is important to know going into Buffs Madness this Friday evening where we will be tagging open seats for fans that have not placed a deposit yet to select their season tickets.
The seats we are holding for your selection will not be tagged as available and are in better locations than those we are deeming as open for this event!
We will be mailing Season Tickets the week of October 22nd. If asked to have your tickets left at Will Call, we will send an email when they are available for pick up.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday at Buffs Madness and on November 9, 2012 at 5 p.m. for the Opening Game of the 2012-13 season versus Wofford College!
Go Buffs!

I got called today, and for ****s asked about court side or floor seats - floor is completely sold out, court side has a couple of seats left. Sound like there has been a huge spike over last year where neither floor nor ct side sold out.

Nice. What are your priority point qualifications? Just curious to see how far back I am and when to expect a call.
