Tad Boyle on Pac-12.com at 11am

Boyle says SHT knee (opposite of the knee surgery) is still bothering him. He would like to see him healthy so someone could reshirt. The media members failed to ask who he would like to reshirt.

Jeremy Adams more knee issues.
Boyle didn't elaborate much on the particular injury but based on his deep breath I am not sure we will be seeing much of Adams in the first few months of the season.

I would think he'd mean Grodon, but he's been getting a lot of love from his peers for this first few months on campus.

I think Talton is a 100% redshirt, while I don't see how Gordon could redshirt. He is our second PF behind Dre, and I believe he pretty much has to play. On another note, I was a little rattled by Boyle's comments. I am worried about the slow development of our freshman. It could be another slow start out of the gates. I really hope we don't stumble too badly in Charleston and go at least 2-1. I also think that Boyle isn't going to sit up there and completely inflate the heads of our freshman, yet keep them humble and working hard. So I guess time will tell. Can't wait for November 9th.

I think Tad's sandbagging because he's managing egos and trying to get all this talent to swallow their egos a bit to play team defense and unselfish offense.

Just saw Dinwiddie interviewed on News 4. You know, he may very well become a mayor someday. What an impressive young man.

With how young they are it'll probably take getting beat up a time or two before that message begins to sink in.

Probably. I give you Rumbin's fan pledge from his preseason preview-preview

The 2012-13 CU fanbase pledge.

Repeat after me:

I, (state your name), will not get discouraged should this team lose early season games to quality opponents. I realize that basketball is not football, and that a few early losses are not disqualifying events. I further recognize that Coach Boyle's teams start slow, and that a young team needs time to grow. I will continue to stay positive, even if this team enters finals break at 5-5. I believe in all that is Tad, and will continue to pack the CEC, regardless of how the KU and CSU games go.

Also, **** Baylor.

There's a reason the kid was accepted at Harvard. We got lucky on this one. Had the rest of the Pac-12 realized how good he was, I'm honestly not sure we could have pulled it off. Luckily, Tad realized it early and got it done.

I trust Tad. Having said that, we've started out pretty slow the last couple years. It seems that we need to get our legs under us before we really start to play well late in the season. I'm confident they'll do well this year, but we may have a bit of a rough start out of the blocks. We're not at the point where we can out-athlete everybody on the schedule (i.e. Kentucky, Duke, NC, etc). We need to outwork and outsmart people. It may take a month or two for that to sink in.

I think the revelation this season is going to be when people see The Mayor manning the point. It's the position he was born to play. As good as he was last season, that was him playing out of position for the good of the team. Kind of like when Magic played the post during the playoffs his rookie season because of injuries. He could do it. He was damn good. But he wasn't "Magic". This year, we finally see "The Mayor".

And having an elite PG does so much for offensive efficiency and for a team gelling quickly.

We are going to have a 6'6" point guard who is as quick as ski, the PAC:12 leading re-bounder (and mostly likely PAC-12 DPOY). Really excited those two play together.

I need to stop reading these bball threads because holy **** I am pumped for the Woffard game! Roll Damn Tad!
