Running Joke Continues

I was listening to the radio broadcast of the game here in North San Diego County. In the 2nd half the announcers were debating if one of the best Southern California high schools (Vista Murrieta) had USC's 2nd team OL and DL, could they beat CU. They weren't joking.

I was listening to the Arizona-Stanford game a couple of weeks ago. They were going over future year schedules and I had half an ear on the game as I was doing yard work but they joked something to the effect of "good thing we catch CU at home".

When does it matter to anyone other than us that we are a joke to millions of people every Saturday?

When top kids tell cu **** you. I'm not going to your school, I'm going to one that actually has a football team that actually competes and is fun to watch. They need to get the regents' attention because this administration doesn't give a shhdt.

Judging by our recruiting class, this is already happening.

We won't compete until Benson and distuffer and Embree are gone. Need to hire a real coach and let run the program. Dam Idots.

Remember this is the same administration that stayed by the side of Hawkins, they don't need the fb program to win to get PAC 12 $

We're the Rodney Dangerfield of college football.

But honestly. Lighten up. Have fun that we're a joke. If you take it seriously it'll break your heart.

You don't know me. And who exactly was seeking advise from you?

Unsolicited teaching moment...Avoid projecting your internal sentiment on others. Self deprecation is a message board virtue.

For example:

But honestly, my preferred coping mechanism is to find humor in this cluster****. I decided to lighten up and have fun with this hot steaming mess coming out of Boulder. If I continue to take this abortion of a football program too seriously, it will break my heart.

For example:

Not taking sides here, but you do see the irony in chastising the guy for unsolicited advise then re-writing his post, right?

Chastising wasn't the tone I wanted to convey. Looks like I missed the mark.

It was more along the lines of constructive critism and helpful mentoring.

I figure that even if the message didn't resonate with BC90, it might atleast strike a chord with someone else, for the good of the board.

Saying a high school team could beat a BCS team is the equivalent of saying the worst NFL team would get beat by the best college team.

For those of you who haven't seen it. The USC Espn blog had an article about not running the score up on CU BEFORE THE GAME. I can't even blame them, it was never competitive. No reason to not write those articles or expect any different.

I don't know if this was mentioned in another thread or not, but the only thing the guys on College GameDay said about the game is they were guessing how many TD's Barkley would have.
