Believe it or not, Embree said in his presser that Webb starts again this week.

I am blown away. He is on track to have one of the worse W/L record in Division 1 history. I almost feel like we're back to the Halk days with Cody (short dude who is not really good enough to play BCS but is the coaches' favourite.)

:bang::bang:

It hasn't worked yet so clearly we need to keep trying the same thing.

I bet Embree's sandbagging. It's a master plan to trick Oregon on Saturday by sending a different QB onto the field to start the game. The Ducks will be taken completely off guard and we will shock the world.

I would be more upset at this point if they threw another QB to the wolves on the road in Eugene.

Well, it isn't like it can get any worse...truly what conceivable difference could it make?

So, all of you that are against Webb starting. Who would you start?

Don't care. Just not Webb. See if you've got something with either Wood, Hirschman, Schrock or Dorman that could possibly give Dillon a challenge in the spring.

Instigator...

But I'll bite, Schronk (sp?), Wood sucked each time he was in, especially against Fresno St, Hirsch just chucks the ball up when he is in.

I'm with Jimmy on this one, not a good time for your first start at QB on the road at Oregon. That said, get Wood/Hirschman some meaningful minutes before the game is completely out of reach.

Just shows you .....

what the illustrious coaching staff thinks about the backup quarterbacks (stinkola). If Webb is the best of the lot, the future .... the future ... the future .... gets even darker.

Qb change should have been made way before this week. If we make a change this week, wait till the first quarter is over.

Does it really matter who we start? Whoever the guy is, he is going to have to deal with the same sub par receivers and h-backs

So you are saying they need to start? Or at least play in the first 3 minutes of the game?

It's cute you still care...apparently the coaching staff has given up

I would roll stevie joe out and rotate shrock in... we see what the others have brought

Been quietly thinking the same thing. But with Embos head firmly implanted up Webb, I don't see that happening.

You know...we just need a few tweaks, play better, more consistently...blah, blah, blah.

Embree has to at least pretend he's trying to win the game. Rolling out Schrock or Dorman just tells the world he's given up as well.

The time to put Wood in is against Stanford. Yeah, he'll get beat, but it'll do him some good to get into a game and play against live competition. That may help when he's up against Utah and Washington.

The coaches know you don't get the top recruit in the country if you end up with the worst record....right? I'm thinking all that NFL experience may have them confused.

correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Detmer get his first start on the road in lincoln?

It doesn't really matter who plays QB, or any position for that matter, as long as they don't burn Dillon's RS. Oregon can put whatever score it wants on the board. I'm not sure why, but I watched the first half of the USC game. I'll probably just read box scores and shrug shoulders from here on out.

Look at it this way, when the new QB throws a pick, he'll be cheered in Oregon rather than Booed in Boulder!

Might as well trot out a new QB vs Oregon. Not like it would be better to take on Stanford's Defense at home.
