CU picked sixth in media poll

Cal at 3, Washington at 5 and USC at 9 all seem mind-boggling to me. USC will easily be in the top half.

WASHINGTON GOT TWO FIRST PLACE VOTES?!?

I realize that I may be underselling Washington -- they are a good team with good coaching and a good home court advantage, but what in the holy hell is going on there?!?

Last year we were projected 10th, finished 6th. So... This year we get projected 6th, and finish 2nd? amirite?

woof. Is Abdul Gaddy really that impressive to people? What do they have on that team that other squads don't have? All their athleticism is either in the NBA, or otherwise not with the program (McLaughlin).

This bull**** about the regular season winner being conference champion is gonna have to come to an end. In no other organized sporting organization is the regular season winner crowned "champion". It's not quirky or hip, it's just silly.

The only thing I see blatantly out of line is the UW two first place votes. 5th is right around where they should be, they have a pretty solid back-court with Gaddy, Wilcox (who could be conf POY) and Scott Suggs returning from injury.

 at Cal being 3rd. Not a chance.

I think 4th-5th is the proper placement for the Buffs.

I'm in agreement here. CU is so young that at the beginning of the season picking them any higher than 4th is not reasonable. However, by the time January gets here maybe it will be.

For the the two keys for the season will be how well the 3 or 4 freshmen that quality minutes play team defense and how much Scott and XJ are ready to go offensively.

I feel like Stanford should be slotted firmly in the top 3. They have as much momentum as anyone to start the year, and I am a fan of that backcourt. They are #3.
After that, I really think Colorado is a notch above SC, Cal, Oregon and Washington. Those four are the toss-up in my mind.

Good Lord, I love basketball. Go Buffs.

Good sign of respect imo. We moved up 4 spots in the preseason PAC 12 media poll. If we keep winning, we will keep moving up each preseason.

I forgot about Suggs - still they lost a ton of talent from last years squad, which all-in-all wasnt that good.
