Give me your prediction on the chances of Embree is coming back for next year

I had Embree at 5% chance of coming back during 1st half. Could be down to 3% now after today's 2nd half.

I'll say 4% then

90%

maybe this falls if CU gives up 60 next week and attendance is in the low 30s for Washington and Utah-

Benson would need to die for Embree to be fired after this season. After 2013 with a similar record: 50/50.

I wish it were already decided. However, i have zero faith in this administration to do what is needed. Therefore I think he will be back. 85%.

Don't see how he's coming back. These embarrassments are over the top. 32,000 for homecoming? Hell Dave Logan could do better than this.

Are you kidding? 100% chance, Mr. Burns and Smithers have no intention of firing him.

If JE comes back, and it sounds like that is likely, what realistically can be done to keep us from going through this kind of grief for another season.

New OC and DC, and Embree takes his hands off the offense. Although I doubt anyone's gotten rid of both coordinators at the same time, if you have to do that, might as well spend your money on a new HC.

Barring a miraculous turnaround, I say he is a goner. Always, ALWAYS, follow the money. That is why Hawkins stayed an extra year, simply because of money. The loss of revenue to the athletic department for keeping Embree will be staggering. BB and PD are jackasses, but they understand $ well enough.

I also don't remember these many empty seats under Hawk in 2009 this late in the year. Could be wrong but this was eye opening.

Agree with Cville, they might have wanted to keep Embree another year but these blowouts will be too much for Embree to overcome.

70%

I think we'll somehow keep it close vs Utah and suddenly year 3 of Embree. They'll fire Brown and Marshall and call it progress.

CVille, your logic makes perfect sense, but that is exactly the problem: your posts are logical. Problem is you seem to forget who is running this university.

99% chance Embree is retained for next year. I just have very little faith that the administration cares.

1% on the random chance that Ralphie is so tired of this BS that she gores Benson & DiStephano forcing a change, which gives us some people in charge that actually care about the university enough to do something about the pathetic joke that the football team has become.

All my cynical comments aside, serious question: If it were completely up to Bohn, do you think he would fire Embree after this season? I would like to think yes...

100% he will be back, once again this AD has shown no interest in CU football. The real question, if JE (and staff) do come back, how many BUFF fans are done until the AD shows interest to turn things around......

I suspect an unneutered Bohn would sack Embree.

C.U. seems to think they are like Harvard Yale or Brown ect. They don"t need football or is it just me?

Doubt he would have hired him in the first place. Can't imagine Bohn would keep him around.

Well, the admin likes to claim Stanford of the East (err, mountains)... Oh. Wait. Stanford actually tries to excel in athletics and not just give it lip service. Which was pretty damn obvious today. Years and years of doing the bare minimum is finally paying off for the leaders of dear old CU.

 I completely agree on that. I just think it reaches a point where they realize things are so ****ing ugly with the fanbase that they recognize they are about to take a major financial hit and thus will likely dismiss him. This is clearly a much messier situation than the lowpoint(s) of the Hawkins era were, for a variety of reasons. There will be no extra year, chiefly because the $$ situation points to this, which it didn't after '09 with the debate of firing Hawkins. And, because, let's face it: While we were bad in '09, we weren't the complete laughingstock of college football (Toledo notwithstanding) and a candidate for the worst team in the history of college football. This is just a level of ineptitude so atrociously awful that as much as they don't want to act, they have to.
