What is the latest on the Shabazz Muhammad/UCLA eligibility issues

Parker & Anderson have been cleared, but I think we're still waiting to hear about Bazz.

Neither Shabazz or Anderson cleared yet, if UCLA can't get these guys cleared Bruins Nation thinks this could happen.

The L.A. Times reported Saturday that the NCAA’s investigation into the 6-foot-9 Anderson and 6-5 wing Shabazz Muhammad is ongoing. In Anderson’s case, the NCAA is looking into the connection between him and Foucher, who now reps Anthony Davis, among others, and works with Arn Tellem. Casey Wasserman is a UCLA graduate and well-known Bruins booster.

All I have to say about Shabazz

Hate to hear of any injuries to these young student-athletes.

I want the b-Ruins at full strength this year when the Buffs spank 'em .... twice. Or more.

Don't want "Ifs" and "Buts" invited to the argument.

Are you saying you don't want any damn asterisk next to the game after we kick their ass, Howard?

I don't care about ifs and buts, I just want the win. Nobody remembers a week later let alone years later anything besides who won.

Sounds like UCLA handled UNLV fairly easily in a scrimmage yesterday without Shabazz. UNLV's front court, which has been touted as one the nation's best, apparently had trouble with UCLA's big guys.

If so, my pre-season predictions could end up really bad. Luckily, I have faith in Howland to screw up even the best situations.

One of my neighbors is a UCLA guy with some connections. I do not know how good those connections are. He just told me that he talked with some people he knows inside the program and they are not too worried about Shabazz clearing.

I have the same feeling about Sean Miller at AZ. Not really all that impressed with his coaching, despite his ability as a recruiter. There's no way he should have had the fall-off he had last year based on his two previous rec. classes; he's had top 10 classes for a while now.

This part is important:

The school, which will appeal the decision, said the NCAA did not specify a number of games Muhammad has to sit out.

Could be the season, could be a few games. If it was the season I would have expected that announcement to come today.

reading on another site, it sounds like its the same accusation selby faced and he missed 9 games.

Yeah, I'd bet that will be it. Kansas, fUcla, 'Cuse, ky jelly U -- they have a player doing something against ncaa regs and it's less than a double-digit penalty. If it were Minnesota, WashSt, Rutgers, etc., that same infraction is prolly a whole year.

Can't mess with the cash cows.
