True the coaches are a joke. Not denying that. I just think feeling sorry for them losing is pretty weak. Yeah we all would like to see the players win.

I feel bad for the kids who Embo recruited here. The Hawk kids not so much. The writing was on the wall long before he was canned. The Embo kids must feel like they've been bamboozled by a bozo.
Bozo objects to the comparison.
I don't feel bad, I haven't said this before, but there are quitters on the field. And the staff is either to dense, or too timid to remove them. Watch the game on your DVR yourself. They are visible.

I will buy that in a heartbeat. I watched some Oregon tape and it was embarrassing that guys were loafing early in the game. The fact the Embree has kept Webb in this whole time shows how bad of a talent evaluator/stubborn idiot he is. I wonder if lots of kids Embo recruited are pondering a location change if he is the coach here next year(I would be).
i completely agree with you. that said, i would hope you keep a few things in mind: CU has been a historically great program. we're in the top ranks in terms of all time wins, bowl appearances, winning %, etc. we're at a very low point right now, but CU, like all great schools, is bigger than any particular staff. all it takes is to put the right pieces in place, sooner rather than later, and CU will be back.
i'd ask you to look around the pac 12 and think about programs that have a demonstrated ability to win big. usc, for sure. and, after that? CU would probably be the 2nd best program if you look at things from a big picture perspective. uw and ucla have had their moments over time, too. oregon right now is doing ok, but that's a reasonably new thing. stanford and cal are historically awful. and the rest really don't matter.
CU is down, but with initiative and decisiveness, this could get turned around quickly. the p12, frankly, isn't all that terrifying right now. if we had half of the talent we had in many previous years, we'd own this conference this year.
so, really, the question is whether or not the right changes get made soon. if they do, all will be well.

All of these players were recruited with sugar-plum fairy promises of skill-set improvements, getting their chance to Go Pro, etc. Instead, THIS is what the university has given them. Well... many a dream is lost on life's journey. "Get a good education" was always good advice.

We will have more scholarships available, a lot of Redshirt seniors next year that are not even in the two deep will most likely move on.

I don't know about that. Seems like a lot of the CU players didn't exactly have tons of options. They are getting a free ride at an excellent school. Cry me a river. If they don't like it, they can quit football and pay for their own education and food/housing like everyone else. There are worse things in this world than losing football games.

yeah what ever many of this years class had multiple offer player like Crawley, Wright , G. Thomas and so on lets say the players that was left by Hawkins didnt have any other offer and trust me many of these kids would love to leave.
In hindsight, Embree should have sent these guys packing before the season started. We have a very strange cancer going on at several levels, and one of them is at the player give-a-sh1t level. When you're a freshman trying to figure out how to carry yourself as a football player and as a student, and you see one of our seniors setting the example, the cancer spreads.

I always feel bad for Buffs that have the misfortune of being on really bad Buff teams but let's face it, the players are the guys on the field. If they want to reverse their fortunes they can start picking up better habits, demanding more effort out of the guy next to them, etc.
You know who I actually feel a lot worse for? Penn State players, and to a lesser extent their fans*. They didn't do anything to deserve what came their way. The Admin and Coaching staff should be strung up by their taters, but the players and fans* got a raw deal.

Crawley came to CU ONLY because of his Twitter blow up. He got dropped from whatever school to which he originally comitted.
There are 85 guys on CU's roster. Not many of those guys, out of the 85, had offers from BCS conf schools with winning records in thier conference.
Give me a break. If they don't like it, they can quit. They're getting probably up to $100k in value (tuition, books, food, housing, tutoring, medical, etc.)

My point is that I believe few players on the 85-man roster had options much better than CU. How many guys on CU's 85-man roster could play for teams in the top half of any of the big conferences? Maybe more than I think, but it doesn't seem like it.

Here is another question. Would you rather play for a losing team or ride the bench for a winner. I'd rather play. Even more importantly, would you rather have a degree from CU or KSU or Oklahoma or Texas Tech, etc.?
