Dan Skipper

Yeah right. Even if I'm a player currently committed to a D2 school like CSU Pueblo I doubt that CU and their commitment to irrelevance could get to change my mind.

Still my number one rated player from Colorado. We need to settle the uncertainty surrounding Emberee. We need Bohnhead to make a statement after the game on Friday. Whether is fired or coming back.

He does not appear to have any interest. He wants a stellar education. That is why he chose Tennessee.

Our recruiting class is ranked around 65th and sinking.

Why would we not want one of the highest rated in-state kids again?

Because we know if they keep Embree he will leave anyway and break out collective football recruiting hearts?:(

I've seen the kid play in person. He's a big kid who plays on a very, very good team. I'd like to see him at CU, personally. If for no other reason than to get a local kid. We're having a lot of trouble with that lately.

Never thought much of Skipper. Too tall and an average athlete.

If you are sincerely asking the question, the answer Duff provided earlier in the thread captures part of the reason that some folks have not been as high on Skipper.

There's a reason guys that are 6'11 don't play football. There's a minimum height for football as well as a maximum height.

So he's good enough to play in the SEC but isn't good enough to play for us?

He may turn out to be a bust, I don't see a lot of guys on our list this year who are guarantees. Are there guys I would rather have, certainly but they aren't coming here either this year.

He may require a lot of development but I think he is worth.

Not sure if the "he's good enough for the SEC so he must be good" recruiting philosophy is the best way to go. Still, reasonable minds can differ on the evaluation of Skipper as a prospect.

Yep. The staff that took his commit is on its way out. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

If people think Skipper is worth it, I am not going to ardently disagree. Doubt it matters anyway.

I like his length and he plays low for a big man, bends well, good footwork. He will get better and stronger in College. Good LT prospect.
