UNLV Takes It's Football Seriously

Vegas has serious donors,

Did people realize, however, that the hotels cannot put lines on local teams? So, that kind of hurts them.

Sweet. Planning on getting a place there. Gonna be great. And taking in a UNLV game I'm unemotional would be fun. CU football has not been.

I'm surprised this didn't happen a long time ago, frankly. This would make a great location for a Super Bowl or Pro Bowl. The Las Vegas Bowl just got a whole lot more respectability, and UNLV can make a legit play for membership in the Pac 12 if they ever decide to expand. It's a smart investment, IMO.

I went to a Who concert at the old football stadium. I think it was on Boulder Highway.

It is far from a done deal. Faculty and staff at the University are pushing back. They want all of the cuts in pay and benefits restored before they will agree to it.

The stadium will only marginally be for UNLV. I suspect it'll actually be used to try to lure the NFL to Las Vegas at some point.

Which the NFL will never approve because of the potential for players to gamble, point shave, and bet. Ad it gives the sports book guys access to players in social settings. And then there is the chance an unsavory person could own he team.
