Actual attendance yesterday was 38,600 (paid attendance was over 43,148)

I assume most single-game ticket buyers are showing up (otherwise why buy the ticket in the first place), so that means almost 5,000 season ticket holders aren't showing up any more. When 20% of your most important customers aren't showing up, that should scare the hell out of the admin.

If the last seven years has not gotten "someone's" attention.....nothing will. I am now convinced that the only way things are going to change is when things change in the AD.

I'm surprised that many people are still willing to go watch the games. I quit after Sac St. First time me, my brother and my dad have willingly missed home games in ~10 years or so.

CU has gotten damn lucky that the weather has been tremendous for the home games. Otherwise you could lop off at least another 3rd in attendance.

I will be impressed if we break 30k on friday. Utah does not travel will and with as bad as they are I don't anticipate many Utes in the stands. With as bad as both teams are I do not expect many casual fans to be there. No students. Boosters and Donors will likely be at home recovering from thanksgiving still. Going to be a very empty Folsom Field.

who is this will guy, why don't they travel him and if they did, why would it matter?

Looks like great weather for the game on Friday too. Kinda upset by that, but could prove to be helpful if it is in the low 30K range and the weather is great. I have season tix and have not been since the ASU thursday night game, which apparently is the last time anything happened in terms of us scoring any real points anyway so I guess I am not missing anything.

Not showing up for Utah either but am afraid we may actually be able to keep it close so this staff isn't roasted in the media at all.

[DavePlati] There were around 50,000 people in the stands on Saturday. Some of them didn't know what they were doing there, though. [/DavePlati]

"CU has given away tickets to the game in hopes of avoiding an embarrassingly small crowd with students away from campus for the holiday and apathy and anger growing among the rest of the fan base. CU has "distributed" about 41,000 tickets for the game meaning this won't be the first time since the 1980s a crowd of less than 40,000 is announced."

Now I see how this works.

Wowza - Only 41k tickets issued, even with giving away 4 at a time. That is insane

They may have "distributed" that many tickets, but I guarantee there won't be that many seats filled at the game.

I would anticipate a kickoff crowd in the low 30,000's.

I'm using my two tickets to start my fire today. Will just watch it on the tube until it gets ugly.

Then I'll watch one of the other games. Don't have that option if I go to the game today.

I'm done this year.

And with FX giving us the national spotlight, Embree & Co have another great chance to show not just the home-crowd but everyone what kind of program he has. Last week's game enjoyed a lot of blessings from the FX Talking Heads, like "This is one of the worst games I've seen in several years" and "I can't remember the last time I've seen such ineffectual play."

With a powerhouse Utah storming in, full of vengeance and venom, against Embree's stampeding herd, I think we might be treated to much easier answers to the above biting questions.

"Last week" could be one answer. Of course, the even worse possibility could be, "Even compared to last week, this game is worse."

Embree & Co have some milestones to achieve, yessirree. I have faith.
