Tim DeRuyter, Dave Doeren reportedly high on Colorado's coach list

Great, now we have become so toxic that bcs coaches just chuckle at Bohn showing off his little money clip. We are back to gambling on another Hawkins.

Dave Doeren coached with Mark Mangino at KU as the LBs coach. I recall KU's LBs playing pretty good during that time. He was a GA at USC and was Wisconsin's DC until he took the NIU job.

DeRuyter has a good resume as well. Those two should be the top choices for the CU job. I like Andersen but not as much as I like Doeren and DeRuyter.

Why don't you throw out a bcs coach as a candidate then

I like this guy if we have no shot at Tedford

No ****.

I mean, I know that Bohn's stupid for not considering Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, and Les Miles for the CU job, but who else would you expect that CU could just snap their fingers and show up here?

patience grasshopper. You did not hear any details when they were planning to fire Embree. You did not get leaking info when we joined the PAC. You will not hear the details of who is going to be hired until Bohn wants it out. We are lexx toxic than you think

These two along with Andersen (may have said no already) are exactly the type of head coaches we have to hope for. They are very good head coaches moving up the latter. We aren't getting a BCS head coach and it seems we don't want a coordinator. We want someone that has experience running a program from the top.

If we landed Doeren, there is a strong possibility Mangino could be his OC.

They are both very good candidates. I am still hoping Stitt will get a look from the next coach. It has been said he is working to get on the HC candidate lists and wants to come here

Why in the hell would you want Tedford?
most experienced BCS level coach on the market and Boulder is really similar to Berkley + pretty good track record. I think him and the school were just getting a little stale with each other - he is a good coach

Glad I'm not the only one struggling to see a perfect, reasonable fit. Call me skeptical because of Hawkins, but didn't Jerry Kill hand that NIU squad on a platter to Doeren?

He already said no

Sure Kill made Northern Illinois but Doeren has risen them even higher. It is a gamble but it may be a case you grab him now before the perceived elite schools get a hold of him later.

No BCS coach leaves his current job unless its for a school in the level of Bama, Michigan, $C. We are not of that level.

I have mixed feelings. I can see we want someone who can rebuild with recruiting like Anderson...he's been at USU for 4 years. But if someone comes in and uses essentially the same players and turns things around in 1 season, I think that shows good Xs and Os. Either one works for me since we have the talent to immediately be a 4 win team...if coached properly maybe 6 wins next year. Plus, winning does wonders for recruiting.

think I mis typed. Want Stitt as the OC and he is working with guys he thinks are on the HC list to align himself with them. Would be a great OC an good for relations with CO high schools

He has not been the same for a while now. His healthy isn't good either and I don't think he'd be able to recreate in Boulder what he did in Berkeley

Here is a thing to remember about Doeren is if he is hired and brings in Mangino. It would give Colorado someone personally that has turned around a program of comparable stature. Doeren could lean on Mangino for well needed help.

Yes since McCartney will probably not be helping out for the time being if ever again.

Some perspective on Mangino: In 8 years at KU, they had a winning conference record just once.

According to Henderson-who's credibility on his sources is highly questionable-now says that Doeren and Mangino are absolutely not on the short list.
