Despite the recent firing of his co staff, Coach Khanavis Mcghee flew into Phoenix last night to meet with Kisima personally. We are very close to this coach and he is a class act. The fact that he contacted TKO to let us know he is on his way is the true reason why want to be a part of this school and program. We hope they can keep Coach McGhee, he is a good man in a storm...Things may be looking up after all....Get us there Coach...stay tuned...GET BUFFACIZED!

Awesome to hear that! Hang in there. Oh, and if you get any inside info ...

Coach Mcghee is a great Buff!

Some actual rational thinking from a Buff4life, what a novel idea, Bravo Coach, and keep the faith TKO, and remember "shoulder to shoulder"

Fantastic news. We love Kanavis as well. Kisima will love his time in Boulder.

Great job by KM, and good to see your spirits on the upswing!

Tell TKO to hang in there. The process of getting a new HC can be frustating for the players as well as the fans.

TKO is going to be one of my favorite Buffs. Just wondering - is he going to want to wear #44 (his HS number) in college as well? With Kasa graduating to the NFL, that number will be up for grabs next season.

I don't want fans to have a say in who the new coach keeps....but if I had one choice, it would be McGhee. What a surprise he has been......glad he is fighting to maintain contacts with the incoming class. If volunteerering, I think that is a wise thing to do to show the new coach he is all in.

thx for the info tko - that's great news and I'm proud of Kanavis for doing the right thing as a Buff.

Kanavis is a very popular coach with the players. Everything I've heard is that he's a genuinely good guy who cares about them as people.

McGhee will be staying at CU. A great move by Bohn - he is by far our best recruiter and the players love him.

That's good, but isn't that his job?

You'll have to excuse the manners of our resident Longhorn--he can be rather direct.

Am I wrong? If I'm missing someting, please tell me, seriously. It's great that he's doing this, but everyone has to get up and go to work everyday. Why is this special?

Yes. You are wrong.

Not about the facts, but about a recruit coming here to say that something was appreciated and then you dismissing it. Dick move, imo.

I have called for a complete cleaning of the house but McGhee would definetly be one of those coaches who would deserve to stay in Boulder for recruiting purposes.

I also hope both of these two, Kanavis and TKO, are buffs next season. I am thinking they will be.

Glad to hear that we have some of the staff out seeing our key recruits to talk them through the process. If there is one group that I truely feel sorry for, it is the grayshirts and current commits. With all the excitement around the search, it is easy to forget this group is looking at what the impact is to their kids lives and the committment they are making to the next 4-5 years of their lives.
