So How Do You Think Plan C Or D Is Going To Feel ?

Bohn ends up calling Mendenhall or whomever and offers them the job. Got to think in the back of their minds CU had to end up 'settling' for them. Got to think that's going to be awkward. Also.. how much $$ gets offered ? will Plan C or D accept less when they know Plan B was offered more ?

plan c or d will get overpaid slightly. But these guys are competitive and want a shot at the bigs. Hopefully it just drives them to coach with a chip on their shoulder.

There are plenty of good candidates still out there, and I think CU fans should be excited by the options.

I think Plan C/D knew all along that they aren't the first choice, so I doubt they'll mind too much.

As somebody already pointed out, Pete Carroll was not Plan A at USC.

There are still viable and potentially very good options out there if we have to go down that path.

In the past when we could only offer peanuts this would be a major concern. But $$ will heal their bruised egos very quickly.

My bigger concern is how far down the list we'll end up going and what kind of a coach we'll end up with.

Let me ask you - have you ever been hired somewhere as the second choice?

It happened to my wife. She applied for a job. They rejected her. The person they picked instead left after the first day, so they went back to the Mrs and hired her. She wasn't offended in the least, and she ended up being a prized employee for the company.

Does she know defense?

BJ was plan B. Plan A was Anderson and he said no. We are now on plan C. We can still hit a home run but....I'm bummed. Calling it a day. Hopefully we get some good news in the a.m. Go Buffs!

I like MacIntyre and new facilities. If he gets us to 7 wins we have a much easier job with our next coach.

USC fans wanted Mike Garrett drawn, quartered, shot, stoned; and then tarred and feathered for hiring Pete Carroll. I'd guess most in retrospect would be OK with the move.

I thought Strong was A ?

Mike Bohn once again is an epic fail. BIG HIRE my ass. Same weak results, lame coaching search and this time he's down to coaches equal to coach simple jack.

Another chance to change the program for the better and Bohn ****s it up again.

Who would you have hired?

I think Jones us so invested in Cincinnati that he played us to get a raise...but more to force them to build facilities.

Not really sure it's fair to call Jones "Plan B" and thus the next guy "Plan C". Strong was nothing but a Hail Mary, it's not a "Plan" per se

We're talking about Type A personalities. Good luck discouraging any of these guys. They just want a shot to prove how awesome they are.

Strong, smart, anyone who doesn't coach at kent state, fresno state, byu or san jose state. Bohn said "big hire" AND MONEY.

How many times do people have to get dumped on before they stop making excuses for people at CU?

If you believe what's been reported, CU stepped up with head coach cash, assistant cash, facilities cash, and did a dog & pony show complete with a trophy dance. I'm curious as to what else you want them to do?

Sign a Head coach, have benson and distefano get in with football or get out.But no matter, nobody wants to coach here and after betsy, benson, distefano and bohn, who can blame them. Time for results around here, not empty promises.
