Ringo on radio

Ringo is a bitter, bitter guy because there´s nobody left at the AD who is gonna give him anything. He and his wife are just straight up trolling right now.

Ringo is a friggin twit. Can't believe they still let that jackass on the radio.

Speaking of graveyards, sounds like Ringo's headed for the obituary column.

Hard to succeed being a sports writer in a college town newspaper when you've burned all your bridges to get any scoop.

Ringo is a bitter douche who hates CU.

You're a troll who hates CU.

Why don't you both disappear together?

And this guy to?

Bill Mac: DONE
CRN: Washington, UCLA
Barnett: DONE
Hawkins: DONE
Embree: DONE
What a silly post.

Mac won a National Championship and left
Rick used CU as a springboard to a better job
Barnett had some successful seasons and was done in by a "scandal"
Embree wouldn't have been successful anywhere

Hawk is the only legitimate coach on that list to come to CU and struggle.

Ringo needs to go back to running a recruiting site, he seemed to excel at that :smile2:

Ringo also thought Gary Andersen makes 350,000. No Ringo he makes 760,000. An easy google search can find that but again you are the "expert"

I think Barnett was blackballed somehow. He was a very good coach. Took Northwestern to back-to-back Rose Bowls. That's damn near impossible.

He had the misfortune to be the target of Lacy and Hoffman.

You don't think a gambling scandal at Northwestern and a rape scandal at CU had anything to do with that??

I have no recollection of a gambling issue at Northwestern, but never paid a lot of attention to them beyond noticing that they played in a Rose Bowl.

As far as the 'rape scandal', I thought it was largely bull****, and never thought of Barnett as a pimp. For a national scandal it was rather odd - no player was ever named or charged with a crime. That didn't stop the rick reillys of the world from milking it for all it was worth, though. Even though he couldn't police his own basement.

Also too early to write off Embree. He sucked as a HC and would suck anywhere right now as a HC.

But there is no certainty he won't get back into coaching and someday be ready to be a HC. JUst not now.

Hawk was exposed at CU. Everyone thought he was the brains behind BSU but we only found out subsequently that it was Petersen.

That's the thing with hiring people to move up in the ranks. Sometimes they get exposed by the Peter Principle. That happened to Hawk.

Lowlight--Gambling? Us? After four former players are accused of lying before a federal grand jury about betting on NU football games, Barnett not only pleads ignorance, he goes on the offensive.
"The stain is on the individuals, not us," he said.
Barnett also claims to be dismayed after hearing the list of players: Dennis Lundy, Chris Gamble, Michael Senters and Greg Gil.
"To hear the names that were involved in it . . . wow," he said.
The coach shouldn't have been so stunned; rumors had been bubbling ever since Lundy was suspended after admitting that he had bet on college games. In his 1996 book, "High Hopes," Barnett wrote that he didn't believe Lundy had been shaving points, but ". . . it makes you wonder."
Barnett's reaction left others to wonder how he could act so naive.

Add to that the rape scandal, where Barnett apparently had no clue what was going on. It painted the picture of a head coach who turned a blind eye to the bad things going on within his football program. You are right that he has probably been blackballed. By his own actions (or inaction).

ringo is about to lose his job at the camera after being frozen out of dal ward... ringo is throwing a hissy fit on his way out the door

Agree. How many coaches have been named a BCS CONFERENCE coach of the year - 4 different times? Not many.
