Tommy Tuberville to Cincinnati

That´s a shocker to see a coach go from the Big 12 to to the Big East

Tuberville was unabashed when the Big 12 was falling apart in his disgust towards league leadership. I suspect his opinions on the matter haven't changed much.

I don't think he endeared himself too much to the Texas Tech fanbase anyways - I'm sure that whole "slapping an assistant across the face" incident during a game a few weeks ago didn't help his cause...

Meh - did anyone want Tommy Tuberville?

Just because Cincy freaked out and grabbed a mediocre coach means nothing to me. I'm sure he'll do fine in a watered down Big East, though, because who can't beat Temple?

They can have Tubberville but props to them for acting quickly. This also show that there are coaching candidates that are not in the public eye.

Good pickup for cincy, not sure what TT saw in this (other than to get the heck out of Texas)

Tuberville actually is suited well for the Big East in terms of philosophy. Texas Tech fans never liked him, his style just never caught on there. It's a simple matter of escaping a place where the fans have turned against him.

so many times this past season I can think of many times where Embree should have slapped a certain D coordinator across the face.. lol

That slap across the face thing seemed a lot worse at full speed than it did in slo-motion. Seemed more like he just pulled the guy's headset off. Anyway, who cares? At least it wasn't a student. I agree with ITB - I think we all would have liked to have seen Embree slap our DC - or OC, tbh. Of course, that would have required having an inkling of what was taking place on the field.

Yep keep it coming, dumb asses. Probably dope heads, enjoy the legalization of pot. The neg rep is a compliment. A positive rep from idiots would be a bad thing.

Maybe, maybe not. If it's not someone we're actually considering, does it matter?

I think the "other guys are getting people first" is a non-starter. If we grab a guy that is not going to work just to beat TT, does that really satisfy anyone long-term?

If we get someone that excites the recruits, we might save the class somewhat. We're probably not anyway, so who cares.

Cincy AD had prior relationship with TT, good for them. I really hope we have a coach announced by Monday if we can get a good hire.

agrr.. as of right now our recruiting class will be medicore at best even if a coach is hired in the next 10 minutes
