My coaching wish list....

Derek Mason from Stanford as head coach. Nick Toth from Fresno St. as defensive coordinator. Dave Logan as offensive coordinator.

Derek Mason: I'm not going to re-hash earlier threads outlining his career but he's responsible for one of the best defenses in the country. Being at Stanford he knows how to recruit scholar athletes, and he would immediately end the discussion of racism.

Nick Toth: Fresno St. had a top 5 passing defense in his first year as d coord. He is familiar with California and he also brings Texas connections as he worked for A&M and was Vonn Millers position coach. Any weakness he has can be covered by Mason's background.

Dave Logan: Can he succeed as a college head coach - maybe. Can he succeed as an offensive coordinator - I say yes. He knows offense from being a head coach and calling/breaking down NFL games. His biggest strength will be in recruiting. He's been recruiting Colorado kids for what seems like forever and knows how to relate to young men. We'd be able to get the kids to stay home who we want to stay home.

I like Derek Mason, but he is too inexperienced right now. Maybe in 2 or 3 years he will be ready to be a Head coach.

No to Dave Logan- I do agree, he will help the instate recruiting. But the key to our success is how we win battles out of state. It is a red flag after all this years, he is still a high school coach. No experience building a college program. Was not impressed by Cherry Creek this year, I don't like him as an Offensive Co-ordinatior either.

Disagree on both points. Coordinator at a perennial top 15 program is more than we've had in a while. Logan has built a program - Mullen is in-between high school and college because they can offer scholarships (IMO).

Logan built Mullen? Really?

Logan took the football program to the highest level is what I meant.....no he didn't "build" Mullen.

The other high school coaches have no love for Logan...from what I have heard. I wish I could set a filter that would hide any post that ever mentions the name 'Logan'.

Stampede it doesn't bother you that Logan was turned down by Northern Colorado a few years ago. For the sake of our image, we can't afford to hire a high school coach.

i hear your concerns about Logan. I think he would be a good OC. Not everyone gets their full Christmas wish list so I'll take Mason and be happy.

I was listening to Irv and Joe for a little while yesterday and they actually believe that Logan would be a great hire for CU.

Did you really question MacIntyre's ability to lure in a solid BCS staff and then make this thread? Really? C'mon now. Stop trolling.

The reason I'm not, and will never be asked to be part of the junta: I would instantly ban anyone who ever mentioned Logan as a serious coaching candidate at CU. No discussion, no argument, just flat out banning.

Yes I did. I believe Mason is a stronger candidate than macintyre.

You missed my point. Mason being a better candidate is a fair opinion, questioning MacIntyre's coaching staff and then saying your dream scenario includes Dave Logan as OC is not fair.
