Coach Search: Cursed by the Ghost of Dal Ward?

Many folks believe Dal ward was unjustly fired by the usual suspects in Boulder. Has his ghost cursed CU football?

From wikipedia:

Following the 1956 regular season, his team won the Orange Bowl, Colorado's second bowl game, over Clemson, 27–21. After winning the season-ending bowl game, Ward was offered the head coaching positions at the University of Southern California and the University of Minnesota, but declined those offers, believing the next few years with the Buffaloes would be even better.[SUP][5][/SUP] However, they did not turn out as hoped, and, on January 23, 1959, Ward was asked to resign by the university's Board of Regents but refused.[SUP][5][/SUP] The Regents reconsidered their actions, but amid many letters of protest mailed in, the original decision was kept and Ward was fired.[SUP][5[Emphasis added][/SUP]

I think we need to call in Ghost Detectives, maybe they can prowl around in their night vision glasses and ask him why he's cursing the program

Umm, I think he's joking. Though, you may be as well.

How did Boston vanquish the Ghost of the Bambino?

The problems are way too recent for it to be this.

Maybe the "Curse of the Omelet Pan"?

Cons of CU coaching position:
-questionable administrative support
-not a recruiting hotbed, and players can't major in PE
-facilities desperately in need of renovation
-1 year limit for asst coaching contracts
-ex-CU coach's ghost haunting the program and causing team to suck

Laugh if you want, the Curse of the Bambino lasted 85 years in Boston!

A coach who turned down friggin' legendary U$C to stay in Boulder, only to be shafted by a bunch of clueless Regents???

Oooh! Just got chilly in here.

I thought they broke the curse when they beat the Rockies in the WS. Not a big baseball fan

It was a curse set up by the Yankees, (when the Yanks got Ruth for cash, so the Sox owner Harry Frazee, could stage a musical that failed) and was broken when they came from behind and beat the Yankees three straight, after being behind 3-1 in the ALCS and down to their last out in game five.

Then they finished up by sweeping the Cards in the WS, e.g. seven straight play-off wins. That broke the Curse. The Rox were just icing on the cake the next year.
