Don't want to derail this thread... But was this decision by skippy, the main factor in why we are in the shape we are in today? I know there are many factors, but I truly believe without the TERRIBLE kicker we would not be in the state we are today.

:rolling_eyes: I feel you have a problem with the way in which I have bashed Klatt... that has nothing to do with the question I asked, but whatever, I'll play along. I do think the Iowa State game in 2005 was the next biggest factor in our decline as well and that loss is squarely on Klatt who choked choked choked. Klatt did not have the nerve to win any important games... Cody had by far more guts and Klatt wishes he could've won a game like the game Cody won against OU. Anyways I think without the TERRIBLE kicker Barnett stays (without the tarnished reputation) and keeps us a consistant top 25 team that competes for conference titles. Alternatively, without the awful performance against ISU, I think we beat the fuskers and dont lose 70-3 against tejas and Barnett stays (though with a tarnished reputation due in part to the terrible kicker) and he keeps us a .500+ team (much better than where we are today).

Well that was a hell of a rant that I didn't intend, but I typed too much to delete it now. What if's are always nice but can't do anything now... we're all Buffs so lets just support the new Mac and hope for a return to success. Go Buffs!

I blame that game in Ames on Shortbus. You can only call the screen play so many times before even ISU figures out how to pick it off.
