Bill Callahan: knave or fool?

Romanowski called bull****. He asked "why would a guy give up a chance at being a SB champ to help a friend out."
 
I say **** the raiders. If Callahan helped to sabotage them, great, but the raiders ****ing suck. If he didn't sabotage them, well, the raiders still ****ing suck.
 
okay, okay, Tim Brown's a jerk, but what about Jerry Rice? You don't think it was painful to go from playing for Bill Walsh to Bill Callahan? Rice must've been thinking "no coach could possible be this stupid."
 
I can believe Bill Callahan abandoned an air attack lead by mvp rich gannon, tim brown and jerry rice for a power run game lead by zachery crokett and then at the last second realized how dumb he was ruining any prep for the game. Because Bill Callahan is dumb.

Al Davis would have fired him ASAP if Rice or Brown had gone to him with that.
 
Only in Oakland....

Nobody lives in the past like the Raiders do. They are the only organization who would accuse a hated former coach of throwing a Super Bowl (and also the only organization who would do so 10 years after the actual game took place). Tim Brown is an idiot, and I expected better from Jerry Rice than to go along with this trash. If you want to argue that Callahan didn't do enough to change their offense when Gruden left the Raiders for Tampa, so be it. Thats viable. You don't throw a Super Bowl, though. Especially if you want to continue working in the NFL. I wouldn't be shocked if Callahan went after Brown legally for this (look at how quickly Brown backed off these comments when he was pushed on it).
 
I kinda like callahan ever since he drug the fusker fan base into a frenzy. How can you not like a guy that wanted to bring that program down?
 
It's ridiculous. Now, if he had done it because he was friends with Shanahan, that's completely believable.

And............Did I just read that correctly? I guess we Nebraska fans are now second best at something. LOL!
 
The funny part of this story is that Tim Brown and Jerry Rice were jealous of each other and that Callahan moved the offense after he took over from Gruden to highlight Rice over Brown. I'm amazed these two are on the same side of this story.
