trip to vegas for p12 tourney booked!

Now i just need the buffs to make a run like last year because I do not get in until friday afternoon, semi final day. Anyone else going to make it out?

I'm planning on it, but I won't make it out until Friday morning too. Games are at the MGM, but where are folks staying. Mrs. Ewing wants to stay at one of the nicer places up on the north end of the strip.

Staying at the hard rock. Got great room rates, less than $100 per night friday, saturday and sunday night.

I'll be there. I'll be staying in the dump across the street from MGM, The Excalibur. But the whole trip with airfare was $480 per person Tuesday-Sunday.

I'm going with a buddy or two. We are staying at the Quad. No clue if it is a dump, but it was cheap. Is anyone driving? I am considering it, but I really hate the idea of sitting in the car for 12 hours straight.

Isn't the Quad the hotel formerly known as Imperial Palace?

If so, yeah, it's a dump. :huh: And toward the north end of the strip. You should look into the monorail. Picks up at IP (Quad) and ends at MGM, pretty much right outside the arena...

I've never seen the point in paying for a fancy room in Vegas. Just figured there was no point in setting his expectations too high.

I do think I read that they're doing some renovations there, so hopefully it is improved over the reputation the IP had. The monorail advice is gold, though. He can be at the arena in about 5 minutes instead of walking a mile or more to get there....

IP was definitely about 20 years overdue for renovations. Good news if true.
