good for him. Hopefully he will do a better job than he did here. Cleveland is no Boulder
 
Well, kinda glad he didn't end up back in college. And I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this news
 
Good for Jon, will probably help him in the healing process to be back in the game.
 
I would've taken a year off.

I don't think that is an option if he wants to coach again. It seems to me that this is only possible if you have won a NC or SB. I don't know the statistics of it, but finding a job after previously doing a ****** job, getting fired and taking a year off doesn't work out all that well unless you have those prerequisites on your side. eg) Squints and Barney

Probably not. Have no idea of his contract but commonly the offset only would apply if he took another job at the college level. A pro job likely doesn't impact his payout at all.
