5pm MT on P12N.

This would obviously be a huge win for the Buffs. Stanford's a lot like Cal with their frontcourt looking to dominate (and they're probably better shooters with better coaching).

Crossing my fingers that CU can pull off an upset that would change the landscape of the Pac-12.

Down 16-18 with 8 1/2 minutes left in the half. Buffs continue to play well.

I wonder what a foul is in the women's game. They can absolutly mug each other without a call... especially if you are a stanford player. They never get a foul called on them.

Buffs down 9, 28-37 with 18 1/2 to play.

This is one of those nights where you look at the two teams and realize that Stanford's just better than we are. When that's the case, you don't really have a chance unless you have a hot night while they're cold. Unfortunately, we can't hit our 3s in this one.

Edit: 28-41 at 17:21.

Buffs going on a little run here, getting some confidence in their defense and their offense. Don't write them off yet, this game could get close.

43-53 with 8:32 to play.

Very nice run by the Buffs when this looked like it was gong to get away from us.

those two positions hurt big time. Suffocating defense down to the last second on the shot clock and its a 5pt swing.

54-64 at 2:57.

Buffs hanging in. Those clutch jumpers by Furd at the end of the shot clock killed us.

Even the pac12 girl officials suck. The conference needs to fix this. I literally sat on my couch laughing at the calls. True comedy.

Ended up losing by 13.

We're not that far behind Stanford and Cal. That's a very high level. With the right draw, either of those teams could make the Final Four.

So true, Nik, We are not that far behind Stanford and Cal. I thoroughly enjoyed when the officiating had Tara Van DerVeer complaining to the officials. She is used to getting calls her way.

As for the officials in the women's game, there has long been a problem, in my opinion, with the known coaches and teams getting all the questionable calls go their way. Pat Summit got all the calls at Tennessee. Kim Mulkey does at Baylor. They seem to intimidate the officials.

Jamee Swan played a very nice game and grew a lot as a player in this game. Ashley Wilson also had a great game. Arielle Roberson was totally over matched in this game and did not have a good weekend.

I am proud that the Buffs never gave up. There was no quit in them.

This is an excellent defensive team. They are getting better every week, which is what I want to see.

Very proud of this team this weekend! They played with heart and never quit. They lost by less on the road to both Cal and Stanford than they did at home. Lappe really has them improving as the season goes on and that is great to see.

Really like Swan and Ky. Swan is improving by leaps and bounds. She is going to be special for CU. Ky is not getting that much playing time but when she does I like what I see. Nothing seems to phase her. She doesn't seem intimidated by any situation or team. I think she is going to be very good for us as well.

Next week is very important for CU. If they play USC and UCLA like they did Cal and Stanford they will win both games.

Go Buffs!

No shame in what we did this weekend. Competed at a high level against two of the top 7 teams in the country on the road. This team should have confidence that we can go out to SoCal and come back with 2 wins.

Basically agree with all of the above. I'd add that they need to play with a tad more composure as well. Lots of silly turnovers tonight combined with missed shots that were make-able.

Jamee will be a long time starter at the 4 and I think in the long run the 3 is where Arielle will fare best.

Linda has the team ahead of what I expected at this point.

Buffs need a nice 10 winning streak to start in LA on Thursday night.

WBB is a strange competition. Unlike in Men's where there is a ton of parity, the women's teams seem to have 3 groups, the elite handfull at the top which only seem to lose to each other, teams like UConn, Duke, ND, Stan and now Cal, all these teams are each others loses essentially and win out the rest. The second group are those very good teams who just can't seem to beat the top tier, and then everyone else who isn't even close. CU has played very well against the top tier. You don't really have the Miami's thrashing the Dukes and what not like you see with the guys.

Chucky get herself some more nice publicity today. http://bit.ly/YchmHO Chucky Jeffery's toughness--and skill--sparks Colorado

Jeffery has another asset that coaches appreciate. "Chucky is very coachable and receptive to feedback.” Says Lappe. “She has had to learn the point guard position and has become student of the game.”

She also understands that she doesn’t have to do everything. “I have learned to really trust my coaches. They are going to put the best game plan together for us and my job is to help execute it as a player and leader on the court. I also study other players, situations and watch a lot of film.“

Well it will be interesting to see if CU can somehow get in to that top tier. We will be losing the Pre-Lappe recruits over the next couple years and the team will soon be all Lappe's people. A couple of those players we lose are a BIG part of this years success so the question is can Lappe not only continue this success but make that next step with her own recruits.

From what I've seen to this point, I believe she can. Soon it will be Duke, UConn, Stanford, ND and CU!!!

I agree with you that we will get to that level. The 1994-95 team was ranked as high as #2. It was an Elite Eight team. I still remember Rebecca Lobo's shock at CU being a #1 seed. No love for CU from that UConn player.
