Martin is tearing it up this year. 67 catches for 1118 yards and 13 touchdowns so far. Averaging 124.2 receiving yards a game.

Looks good. Soft hands. Rare to see that type of fluid athleticism and good size in a sophomore.

I also like him, but it'll be interesting to see how many WRs we take next year. We might not have room for more than 1 or 2.

He'll be our first commit for next class imo... and will hopefully kick-start in-state recruiting. He didn't seem overly fast or physical, but had pretty good ball skills. I'm sure he will(would) be someone we'd be glad to have for 4 years

What exactly is involved in an official visit for a player from Fairview? I would assume he is pretty familiar with the city and the campus...

Unofficial this time of year. But he'll get a tour and some face time with the coaches. When it's time for an official, some of it will be weird. Not like seeing snow or mountains or Pearl Street or Pasta Jay's will do much for him.

I'm really hoping we offer and lock him up early. He's got pretty good speed, great hands, and great size.

Buff lock.

Hope so.

Want to see us get a solid start on upgrading the talent level of our recruits. This kid looks to have the size and speed to be a legit PAC player.

He would also be a nice start on us picking up our share of the best players from Colorado.

The staff is bringing him in on an unofficial so he can accept their offer in person imo

There are about 10 guys on Scholarship with Austin Vincent walking on. WR right now doesn't look like it is a major need for the Buffs next cycle. The major needs in my opinion are OL, CB, Safety, DL, TE, OLB, and QB

I'm fine with taking one WR. Is his junior film out yet?

We need to take 2 WRs minimum every year with our new offense.

Edit: See post #7 for junior highlights. No reason to post twice and slow the page load times for everyone.

The squad can survive one year without recruiting a WR, we have good balance in numbers spread across the different classes, only 1 senior. Wouldn't mind if we take one WR also. But I have my concerns about the level of competition in the video posted above. Still too early in the evaluation process to get commitments at WR when we have limited scholarships available.

This type of thinking gets us into a 2012 type situation at WR. If we ignore the position in the 2014 class, we enter that season with nine WRs and basically have to play catch-up again with three seniors poised to graduate.

Fairview is 5A aren't they. Either way I think he's better than some of the WR we have so I think he's worth the offer.

Looks like a possession receiver. I hope we have room for him. With the pistol we need to get 7 deep at WR.

I'd agree with the "possession receiver" label as long as you're not pigeon-holing him as a guy who will only run the Scotty McKnight routes. Martin looks like he can do some damage on the deep fly pattern too with his size, length and good speed.

Reminds me of Eddie McCafferty. :sorry:

I think he is an above average prospect with great hands. His speed and physicality are not readily apparent, so maybe a WR you line up in different spots.
