33. Colorado Buffaloes (Previous ranking: 38)

The Buffs are 14-7 and dropped a game to Utah, and have road games against Oregon and Oregon State. An issue for Colorado has been turnovers. The Buffs cough it up too much and don't take it away from opponents very much, either. Andre Roberson is a special rebounder, ranking as the second-most productive defensive rebounder in the nation. This is a well-coached team that is still learning how to win and compete at the highest level.

Maybe he is counting our win at Zona and are ability to win on neutral courts because we are not a top 40 team on the road! Prove us wrong Buffs! We need a win this week!

Maybe he is counting our win at Zona ....

Even if he isn't ... at least one other ESPNer is:

Colorado [14-7 (4-5), RPI: 25, SOS: 18] You've got to feel for the Buffs, because one of their top-50 losses -- a 92-83 loss at Arizona Jan. 3 -- really should have been a win. (In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, which is unlikely, Google "Sabatino Chen Arizona.") Were that win on the books, Colorado's tidy computer numbers would probably put it over the top. As it is, the Buffs are 2-6 on the road (with a loss at Utah to boot) and have just two top-50 wins, over Baylor and Colorado State. Big stretch at Oregon, at Oregon State and home against Arizona -- grudge match! -- to come.

I know what you are saying but Duke is hardly the only team that flops.

I like his insight much of the time too. I just found that funny

...And Duke does take flopping to a level unseen elsewhere. Will be interesting to see what happens when those rough, physical Big East teams join the ACC

so i can't read this link if i'm not an ESPN insider?

meh. i like Bilas, but no way i'm paying ESPN for anything.

i'm just curious what were people expecting....higher or lower than 33? i think that's pretty damned good right now for this team. last two seasons i think we are about 15 win club with none of what you really need to win....and Tad keeps beating people.
