Could there be sand in CU's future?

For several really good reasons, none of which has anything to do with my desire to see more skin. :saythat:

Maybe the Title 9 dream-crushers will open up to the possibilities of some long dead sports at CU - baseball? wrestling? oh, and why not crew on the Boulder Res? Mostly serious...

Crew has got to be on the short list of women's sports to add. It's enough scholarships to more than balance M-Soc or M-LAX.

I never heard of "Sports Oasis" but it's a sand volleyball facility in Broomfield thats been open since January 2004!! So if CU could work up a deal to use that, they would already have the facility they need (assuming it has locker rooms etc.) Sounds good to me.

...and it requires no high degree of experience, so any athletic coed with the right body type and a sense of rhythm can be a D1 jock. Are you saying CU doesn't have a men's soccer program? Who knew?
