2013 Pac-12 Women's Tourney (Seattle, March 7-10)

I so wish I didn't have to watch online until the championship game. I generally get lots of buffering. I really have not been happy with the Pac 12 Networks.

Because you have to watch online? Or because the announcers don't know much about CU :)

Despite the poor quality of the commentary I am grateful that many of CU's away games are available in HD on Pac 12 Mtn.

Both to your first question. I've taken to listening to AM 760 for the commentary. Mostly because of the buffering. I will be upgrading by next season if my ISP hasn't upgraded to speed I was promised when I switched to them by next basketball season. It was fine for volleyball, but as more people watch basketball, it buffers and I can't watch period.

Pac 12 Mtn is not the national feed, which is what I get on Dish.

Tourney last year was in LA with the men's tourney. This year they are trying the 2 tourneys separate, with men in LasVegas and women in Seattle. I think Seattle was choosen becasue of high level of support for the WNBA team there. If they decide to kept them separate and move them around, I don't see any reason why Denver couldn't be a candidate to host sometime in the future. Pretty good support last season for the NCAA WBB Final Four.

When I was in Boulder a couple of weeks ago, I talked to people who were not happy with the men's and women's tournaments being held at separate locations at the same time. They like to support both of our teams and have to make a choice. They used to go to road games, but with the way the Pac 12 schedules games, have not been to a road game this season.

For me personally, there is probably no place in the Pac 12 where I would go except Denver to the women's tournament.

This. I'm still confused by it. I'm hoping this is for one year only.

Like every decision, this is about $$$$. If both tournaments are packaged together, the revenue is less because the women's tournament ends up being tacked on. If it's separate, then you've got all the benefits to that city of an individual, multi-day sporting event. It's worth more that way. The only way I see this changing back to both tourneys at the same site would be if the women's tournament bombed so badly that no one wanted to purchase hosting rights for it on its own.

Buffs tip off at 9:30 MT on PACN

I stayed up much too late last night watching the Washington/Oregon game and I will be doing the same thing tonight watching the Buffs beat Washington. At least I can watch these games on tv and not online. I still don't like the Pac 12 announcers.

Really feels like the "B Crew" for the women's games on PACN. Would be nice if they could get some former coaches into the mix. You have to assume that will happen, but we're just now seeing the first wave of retirements from the better WBB coaches.

Is Ceal still contracted up with ROOT?

Stanford, Cal and UCLA all won.

We're completely on the chalk for the WP12T.

Buffs underway against Washington. Huskies are bringing it tonight and we look tight. Buffs trail 8-11 with 12 minutes left in the half.

29-26 at the half.

I was afraid that Seattle would be a road game against UDub. It is. Crowd is loud and the refs are responding to it. 11 free throws for Washington in the half. Buffs took 1 foul shot.

Yes and we are still winning. Hopefully the refs play the make up game in the second half giving the Buffs more FT's. CU just needs to settle down and shoot better from the floor. They missed some easy shots and missed some of them really bad.

Udub looks like they want this but We need to want it more! Keep the D and rebounding up and CU should move on.

Nice start to the half. 33-26 Buffs. Forced a UDub timeout after a minute.

Washington run. 37-34 Buffs with a little under 16 to play. Hargis to the line (right after they put up the 14 FTs to 1 graphic).
