Join us today for the 3.30pm Mt tip-off live from Vegas as the Buffs take on an Arizona Wildcats team that still has not beaten us outside of McKale. Arizona will be looking to avenge their recent blow-out loss at Coors events and of course their loss to us last year in the Pac-12 Title game.

The home win was as it should be, but beating them tomorrow will really right the wrong that happened when we beat them in their house.

Arizona's a bubble team, right?

Well, Ryan Thorburn seems to think there are people out there who feel that way...

"Most 'bracketologists' feel the Wildcats (24-6), ranked No. 18 in this week's Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls, are a lock for the NCAA Tournament."

...implying there are some out there who think they're not a lock?

What a silly comment. He covers college basketball--he must've known how ridiculous this line seemed as he wrote it, right? Anyway, that's all, just wanted to address this line that made me heartily guffaw when I read it. Carry on.

we match up way better with them, and hopefully ski can get above 10 pts. Win this, and it's (most likely) time to avenge the loss to UCLA

Can someone please explain to me the Arizona board's obsession with calling us "Rado". I swear that is the only place I've ever seen that.

Strange. And to think they look down on ASU. How "ASU" can you get by calling CU "Rado"?

This should be a war. I'm looking forward to it and hope to see ASU in the semi's to get some retribution for our losses.

So many damn Arizona fans here in Vegas. Easily the biggest fan base. We just have to be the loudest.

Perused the AZ board about to see how they were reacting to our game yesterday. Here was my favorite quote when Dinwiddie did his halftime shot.
Uggh. Never let Colorado shoot at the buzzer. I'd put in 5 new guys just to foul. lol. Jeesh.

Overall, it seems as though they are not too happy with having to play us.

really hoping for this W.

i know most pundits have CU as a lock for the tourney and that's probably right-- i'm certainly no expert. but, i'm pretty sure a win over arizona would effing lock it beyond a shadow of a doubt, right?

this is fun, paying attention to basketball and having a rooting interest headed into the tourney. hell, it is like a whole new world of fandom, opening up before my eyes!

GO BUFFS!

Who is the % favorite?

Vegas line opened as CU 4 point underdogs. It has bounced between +3.5 and +4.5. It's at +4.5 right now. O/U is 136. KenPom has Arizona favored by 3 (67-64) with CU having a 37% chance to win. For reference the CU/Zona "chen game" KenPom had predicted Arizona 74-63 (with CU having a 28% chance to win). And the game in Boulder was predicted as Arizona 68-67 (with CU having a 48% to win.) sevenovertimes.com has this predicted as a 67-67 50% chance to win and Sagarin has Zona as 3 point favs.

Should be a good game, but if Ski gets hot from beyond the arc and everyone else holds serve, it's over, AZ doesn't have a chance to even stay close.

Does Vegas have odds on whether or not Ski gets hot?

We would be a much better team if ski just shot average

We just match up so well against UofA. They don't have a point guard, Solomon Hill has never played well against us, and Chol is the only guy who gave us trouble in Boulder. Buffs win a close one, 65-61.

Tell me about it, he's frustrating because he has the potential.

With him doing good we're giant killers, without him doing good we're closer to a bubble team.

He can swing us so drastically because he's so inconsistent, either adding lots of points or taking away opportunities from others.
