ESPN. 5 pm mountain time tonight. Odds are the Buffs end up as a 5 seed, but I'm kind of hoping there's a logistic issue and they can end up as a 6.

I agree with Goose. I'd prefer the 6, but they will most likely get a 5. Will be better off with a 6 if they get to the Sweet Sixteen, which they will.

We are the 5 seed and play 12 seed Kansas in the late game Saturday evening. Early game features 4 South Carolina vs 13 seed South Dakota.

I do disagree that we are led by Arielle Roberson. Hasn't ESPN heard of Chucky Jeffery?

Kansas beat some times they should not have beat and lost to some teams they should not have. Charlie Creme had them as a last four out, so they were right on the edge of getting in the tourney.

I am planning on wanting to stay for the 2nd game to see if CU goes to the Sweet Sixteen!

:gobuffs:

That would be fantastic. I did check the site last night and for one ticket, best available, I only got general admission. I know the host school has to hold seats for the visiting schools. I have no idea how many tickets. I do know that one of my friends could not get her season ticket in Section 9, Row 2, but was able to get a seat in Section 9, Row 5.

Kansas is 18-13 (8-10). 7th in Big XII. Did only lose @Cal by 9 early in the season, though

Kansas struggled down the stretch this season, going something like 4-7 with 3 of the wins over last place TCU.

CU v KU @ 4:30 pm on Saturday.

Great to have an old Big8/12 foe coming to Boulder!

The selection party at the practice facility was fun this evening. Had a chance to talk to some players and coaches.

Linda Lappe only one of 8 head coaches to have played and coached in NCAA tourney.

OK gang .... any of you not going to Austin need to seriously consider coming out to the Keg to support our WBB Buffs Saturday afternoon as they take on the Jayhawks. We know there will be blue & red in the stands and we need to make sure that they are way out-numbered by the black & gold.

It's a terrible tipoff time for me. I was going to take my boy, but he goes to bed at 7pm. Maybe I can make it work out somehow.

Tip-off for the CU / KU game is scheduled to be 4:30 PM MT. Maybe you can let him stay up just a bit longer for a special occasion, Nik.

Put my tix in my suitcase last night! I am so excited. It's going to be a long week.

Please, if you can, come out and support this team. I don't know how well Kansas travels for it's women's team, but it's OUR HOUSE and we need to have the home court advantage.

:yeahthat: OUR HOUSE!!!

I didn't see the selection show but just watched the replay of the team seeing their name come up on the show. It was really special, the pride on Linda's face and the joy on Chuckie's. Heartwarming!

Very happy for them and I hope they get to play a few more games!!!

I saw the bracket and it looks favorable for a Sweet 16 in my uneducated opinion. Two home games correct and vs a 12 and 4

Yeah. There's no such thing as a cupcake in the tourney unless you get a 1 or 2 seed. We got a KU team we're familiar with and was a questionable invitee. We got a South Carolina team that comes in after losing 4 of its last 8. We are slotted to get them both at home. That's about as good as we could have hoped for.

Charlie Creme had Kansas as one of the last four in. In it's last 11 games, Kansas only won 4 games, 3 over Big 12 last place TCU and an upset of Oklahoma at home.

We have to defend OUR HOUSE!

I know Coach Lappe will have the team ready.

One of ESPiN's analysts had Kansas making the field as her (or his? don't remember) biggest surprise of the entire bracket...

Colorado Mesa advanced to the D-II Women's Elite 8 in San Antonio last night. Can't wait for the Buffs to do the same in D-1!

I was surprised Kansas made it in the tourney. On the Big 12 women's boards, they were surprised, but happy because it gave K State the opportunity to go to the WNIT.

In news about last year's walk-on, Esther Lee, the team she is playing for, NAIA Westmont, won the national championship tonight. So one former Buff has tasted success this post-season. Happy for her that she played and started on a national championship team.

Happy for Lee. She wasn't athletic enough for this level, but was obviously skilled. Sounds like she found the right fit and is having a ton of success.

Has to be more fun to be a starter and be a national champion at that level.

Things may have changed for the Buffs. Rachel Hargis tore her MCL at practice today. It's not known if she will be able to play Saturday. http://bit.ly/14aQlKQ

That's going to put a lot on Swan (plus Ari and Reese).

And MMP is going to have to give some minutes.
