On the slate for tonight:

(3) Marquette vs (2) Miami, 5:15 pm, CBS
(6) Arizona vs (2) Ohio State, 5:47 pm, TBS
(4) Syracuse vs (1) Indiana, 7:45 pm, CBS
(13) La Salle vs (9) Wichita State, 8:17 pm, TBS

Go Marquette, Indiana, Ohio State, and LaSalle!!

That's what would be best for my bracket and possibly get it off life support. La Salle doesn't matter for me, though. I'll probably cheer for Wichita State due to the Tad connection and ShockerHoops being a cool guy.

This man, rep him. Exactly what I need for my bracket.

Check that. **** the first guy, rep this guy. I don't care about LaSalle and here's a good reason to pull for Wichita.

It may just be that I'm getting old and senile  ... but I can't remember a year that the Sweet Sixteen had so many intriguing matchups based on various reasons: traditional powers squaring off e.g., Duke-MSU, Mich-KU, IU-'Cuse, AZ-tOSU; "Cinderellas" squaring off, e.g. LaSalle-WSU; and a good mix of matchups with great story lines, e.g., Florida v. FGCU, Oregon-L'ville.

Usually these kind of matchups happen far more often in the Elite 8. It's going to be a great couple of evenings for hoops fanatics!

How is it that AZ only has attempted 20 shots midway through the second half?

Edit: Nevermind, I was looking at the clock on the Marquette game.

With the way this Marquette-Miami game is going, Arizona better win or this could quickly turn into the B1G/Big East Invitational for the Elite 8.

Syracuse has been extremely impressive in the tournament.

It really started in the BE tournament after they got blown out by Georgetown in the regular season finale. But they have really picked it up a notch in the NCAA tournament. The zone gave Indiana fits tonight.

Indiana is an inside out team and did nothing to adjust to the zone.

That's because they are.

You guys were a year away, I think. I can't wait for next year when the Buffs look to take the next step and we can put a target on your backs as a likely Final Four team. Gonna be a lot of fun.

Getting a true PG like McConnell in there will really help. And if they land Aaron Gordon (which it appears they will)...
