Louisville, which we beat, just knocked off Baylor despite horribly unbalanced foul totals going against them.

Kansas, as frustrating as that loss was, did go on to beat #17 South Carolina in the following game to make the Sweet 16.

I'm starting to think that the Buffs are right on the edge of being able to challenge.

couldnt agree more... I severely underestimated lappe, she has turned into a fantastic coach

I would hope we could repeat a tournament appearance next year. Losing Chucky is going to hurt as I think a huge question mark is what our guard play does on the offensive end moving forward. The scoring and rebounding threat from that position is something we're going to miss in a big way and hope we can develop depth at guard that will do more than simply distrubute or spot up and shoot.

I think Buff WBB is going to keep improving gradually - could be faster if LL has a great recruiting year NEXT year. The incoming FR look fine on paper. The team is going to lose grit (IMO) with Chucky graduating. Hope Lauren Huggins gets healthy so some more outside shooting gets added to the mix.

I have yet to watch the 2nd half of the Louisville/Baylor game. However, we did beat Baylor in Boulder.

I think that our players were a big in awe of being in the Dance. None of them had ever experienced anything like it. I think the Big 12 prepares their WBB teams better than the Pac 12. Only Cal is left from the Pac 12 and now no Big 12 teams are left in the Dance.

I was nervous about the Lappe hire also, but am past that. She's doing and will continue to do a fine job.

Lappe needs to continue to get strong recruiting classes or we can't compete with great teams or become a great team year in and year out. Coach Barry didn't have great teams every year. Classes would graduate and she would have to rebuild. Lappe may have to do that.

We need a consistent outside shooter, which we do not have. We need more beef in the middle which I think Hargis, Swan and Reese should be providing next year. We need a true point guard, which Chucky wasn't. Either B Wil or Ky Weston will have that role next season. Ky has a lot of work to do over the summer. That would free up B Wil to do more scoring.

We got Arielle Roberson, who is a fine player. We need Huggins and her outside shot. Sborov needs to be stronger inside.

The Wilson twins will go after every loose ball and give up their bodies to do it.

Losing Chucky will hurt.

I have a lot of faith in Coach Lappe, Chatterton and Watson. I don't know that much about the 3rd assistant to have an opinion on her. I think Lappe will have the team working on conditioning and bring them around next season so we will return to the Dance.

Need to test ourselves more OOC and/or hope for a couple more non-Cali schools to step up. Playing the likes of Oregon down the stretch just killed us in terms of preparedness for the big time. That was glaringly apparent.

:stupid: Agree with the above post. Must have higher strength of schedule in non-conference to overcome weak conference teams.
