As always, let me know if there are any corrections.

What do we know schedule-wise for next year?

I'm not sure how Lauren Huggins will be classified. She did play briefly before her stress fracture was diagnosed so this was not a normal redshirt year but since she was out for the rest of the season she should be eligible for a medical hardship waiver to get back the year of eligibility. But does that happen now, so that she would be a RS Fr next year? Or does that only happen after her senior year so that she's a soph next year and would be a RS Sr in her fifth year if she chooses to stay?

As for the scholarship count, it looks like you forgot to adjust the "total" figure down from 15 to 14 when you took out Brenna. The max allowed for WBB is 15 so the coaches have 4 that they can use. I know they are in on some top 100 type hs seniors but no commits yet. Hopefully some of those players will come to Boulder.

The Pac-12 can grant an exception for the regular redshirt. Medical hardship only happens from the NCAA if a player has lost more than one season to injury and would be applied for after the completion of the 5th year.

I also think there are only 14 scholarship players on the roster as is. Yes, I'm sure that happened when Brenna was removed.

Hey, math is hard!

So is the general consensus that we should move Huggins back to freshman class as a redshirt?

Math is hard!!!

I'd move Huggins back to freshman until we see how she is officially classified.

With the DC correction today, I've moved Huggins back to the sophomore class.

I was just looking at the WBB roster on the Buffs web site today and noticed that Alexus Acthley, last years walk-on, is no longer listed on the roster. Also noted that Lauren Huggins is listed as "Fr". Of course this may not yet be the final answer.

Found out who is coming to the annual Thanksgiving tournament at CU on 11/29-11/30. Rice, Samford, and South Alabama.

I usually fly out to watch, but I think I am going to skip the tournament this year.

Found out who is coming to the annual Thanksgiving tournament at CU on 11/29-11/30. Rice, Samford, and South Alabama.......
Yeah, I saw that too. Not a very impressive field. Last year's final Massey ratings: Samford 252, South Alabama 175, Rice 173, CU 30. Should not be any challenge for the Buffs there. But I can see why Rice wanted to come ... they got a good player from Grandview HS in Aurora in their freshman class in Adaeze Obinnah so this is an early homecoming game for her. I'd be very surprised if the pairings for the first day were not CU vs Samford and South Alabama vs Rice.

Other games that I know of so far are: 11/20 Iowa at CU, Iowa ended last season at 35 on Massey ratings, cu at 30. That should be a good test. Then on 12/4, CU at Wyoming. Wyoming last season 104.

Article in Camera about WBB trip to Italy ends with some notes including comment that Lauren Huggins was granted the year of eligibility for last year so will be a RFr this year.

Great news.

That is excellent news. I'm guessing that Alexis Atchley is still a walk-on as she did not go to Italy.

... I'm guessing that Alexis Atchley is still a walk-on as she did not go to Italy.

Atchley is not listed on the roster. Also have a couple more games... in addition to the earlier reported Iowa, Wyo, and Thanksgiving weekend games, we have CU at Fort Fun on 11/12 and CU at New Mexico 11/23

So Atchley must be done with basketball. Glad I was there when she got to make the basket last season!

Obviously not surprising but I overheard a WBB player saying they'll be travelling to the NIT either today or tomorrow
